I will be providing here a couple monsters for people to take pictures and use for their SwapNote RPGs or if anyone has any requests. Others may post their own designs as well.

I been thinking, should I also make genetic backgrounds, doors, treasure chests? Also let me know if anyone ends up using these. I wanna see how they look on Swapnote exactly.

So we've got a noseless Woobat Pokémon, an armed Armored Ghost from Find Mii, and a Yu-gi-oh! Mushroom Man monster with a wooden shield. Let's see some more original designs.

Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

I guess it kinda does look like Woobat. I don't know what the other two are though. You got an idea you want me to do?

tut tut! You've forgotten the bread and butter of every new adventurer (- dramatic pause -) Slimes!
Now try making THAT look original. No easy task I'd imagine.

That bat was spouse to be the "slime" of the monsters. A family of monsters that share the same mouth, ears and fur.

For example here is Furfang and a Furmine (rat). There would be others like Furline and Furog.

B-but it's not gooey and well... slime-y.

I assume you mean the bat is an entry level monster equivalent to a slime.

Sorry but I agree with Bulba. The drawings are good but the design is not. It is to much based on anime or other works. I could not do better since i can´t drawn but i think that you have a great potential and could be a lot better if you based your monsters on some more original designs not related to anime stuff.

Now I don't really like anime (Besides the original Dragonball) but I would be lying if I said Dragonball (Or anything done by Akirya Toriyama) and Pokemon (or Mario) didn't influence me. It's not that I am purposely basing them off stuff it's just how I draw. I didn't look at a Woobat and say, let me make something like this. I just said dungeons usually have bats so I drew a blind bat. Like Usasi said I created it to be an Entry-Level Monster and tried to make him look as simple and wacky as I could and that's what came out.

Gelatinous Cube > Slime.

:)

@KaiserGX Thanks for your effort. For those of us who may be doing this and don't have any artistic talent whatsoever: we appreciate your help.

Guys, this is one instance where if you don't have anything nice to say, let's see your designs. These are being posted just to give others ideas about monsters to use in potential Swapnote-based RPGs — there's all kinds of things that can be imagined for these games. Can't draw one yourself? Describe one! Make up your own monsters if you don't like the ones already posted here, and let's keep the namecalling out of this thread.
and before anyone asks, i've already edited it out, move along plz :3

Don't worry, I like your drawings. All you other guys are just haters. ;)

How did you draw those? Did you use a drawing program? Or did you draw them on pen and paper then scan / edit them on a computer?

@LordTendoBoy: I actually had the same question running through my head the moment I saw this thread. The linework is very good and looks like it's digitally inked. Do you use a tablet, KaiserGX?

Nice slime by the way. I wish I had the patience to draw something right now.

Yes I did use a tablet. (This is more credit going against me that I don't like anime but) I bought a program called Manga studio. Because it was cheap and you can make comics really easily.

If anyone remembers a Thread I made about a comic idea I had. This was the first block panel I showed.

I can draw on paper I just don't have materials at the moment. That and my scanner isn't very reliable and on occasions fails to connect wirelessly.

@KaiserGX Did you use a tablet like an iPad? Or was it a drawing tablet?

I have uDraw on my PS3, but I doubt I can draw anything that good using it.

It's a small drawing table. Nothing fancy, kinda small.

I never had an ipod or any kind of cellphone or thing like that.
