Well I know from a lot of people that most were disappointed by the volume of the 3D Classics range mostly being arcade/NES port/remakes, but I was very impressed with both 3D Classics Kirby's Adventure and 3D Classics Kid Icarus, that I would love nintendo to consider making more of these great port/ 3D remakes.I would love to see some more NES games, but I think there are some SNES games that definintely fit the bill of being a 3D classics title, like for example Earthbound would be my top tier for a 3D remake, either as a 3D classics game or a 3DS title. But of course that is severely unlikely to happen since there's a lot of issues with the game making it anywhere on any nintendo platform.I would love to see Mother (Famicom/NES), Startropics (never played, but i would be interested), Super Mario Bros. 3, and Earthbound all as 3D classics, I can't think of any many other games than the MOTHER/Earthbound series that need remakes or ports better than these games.I'm certain that nintendo said they aren't producing any more 3D Classics, but if they sold 3D Classics Kid Icarus on the Eshop now and marketed the range more, than i'm sure they could get Arika (the company behind most of the 3D Classics) to make more of these titles and full, proper titles like Kirby or Kid Icarus.

They need to make the original Star Fox a 3D Classics. Just give it a silky smooth framerate and improved draw distance and bam: Awesome game just got awesomer.

Wait. They really aren't making more than 6? Did they ever give a reason why? I would love to see more 3rd party games get the 3D Classics treatment. 3D Classics: Turtles in Time would be amazing. With download play and local multiplayer I could see myself enjoying it much more than reshelled.NES games that didn't really get their chance to shine despite the fact they were great are the ones that deserve a 3D Classics version the most. It's not like Urban Champion is really a "classic." I would love a 3D Classics: Journey to Silius. That game was great.Maybe Star Fox 2 also.

I feel Final Fantasy (NES) should get a 3D classics remake. I haven't played the original version and I don't know how it'd look with that extra layer, but hey you can dream right? they added backgrounds to Kid Icarus, so why not Final Fantasy, just a thought, unless you really like monochromatic backgrounds.

Why not give modern games the 3D treatment? Like a 3D golden sun (a guy can dream, right?). If not that, maybe the original Donkey Kong arcade game.

Meh, Goldensun isn't really "Classic" enough for a remake, besides we're waiting for a 3DS Goldensun aren't we?? I'd say Donkey Kong is a good choice, but i've never really played it. Goldensun should've been a 3DS Ambassador game, but I got what I wanted out of that deal (Minish Cap).

Only if it's Super Metroid.
I made Kid Tripp! PocketGamer gave it a 9 out of 10! You should totally buy it now!

Aren't they working on The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past as either a 3D Classic or full on 3D Remake?
10. Posted: Mon 9th Apr 2012 04:11 BST
@Karakato Umm Yoshi's Island is already an ambassador game, didn't you know?@Red_Kinetic Who knows? Miyamoto already expresed interest in remaking ALLTP, but I doubt it will be a full 3DS title, as Miyamoto previously said he'd make an original zelda before doing a remake like for example Majora's Mask. I believe it could be a 3D Classics, but then nintendo should already be thinking about making more 3D Classics if they have any sense. One other pick for a 3D Classic for me would defintiely be Super Metroid, but I heard some one say on this website previously talk about how it's much harder to animate 3D with 16-bit graphics than it is with 8 bits. I'm not sure if that's true, but it sounds plausible to me.

Not everyone is an ambassador though.
Personally I think they should just wrap them up. Give us something worthwhile for the last one and worry about new games like Animal Crossing.
Just for you.

@Chrono_Chross Well that's too bad for him, he should 've bought a 3DS at launch. Nintendo is NOT going to make a 3D Classics version of Yoshi's Island because they already gave it away for "free" with the Ambassador program, too bad he didn't participate, but that's not my fault.Animal Crossing is not a good enough reason to not warrant any more 3D Classics games, as I know i'm not particularly interested in that franchise myself.

Yes, I do know, I in fact have all the Ambassador titles, but let me get this straight, I love Yoshi's Island enough to quadruple dip if any more ports or remakes surface. Super Mario Advanced 3, while boasting more levels and an extra game to boot, is inferior to the original Technically IMO. This is one of the games that will truly shine graphically in S3D for it's crayon border art style to its FX chip enhancements. Also, I do prefer the original sound to those annoying Yoshi voice clips.
But off course this is just wishful thinking, just as the rest of this thread. With all that said, this is not a possibility, and if Ninty were to resurrect the 3D classics line, it will take long before we see a single SNES game remade.

So someone who didn't find the first few months of the 3DS's life worthwhile should never receive the opportunity to get a 3D Classics Yoshi's Island? I'll also have you know that Animal Crossing is one of the 3DS's AAA blockbusters this year. Not only is it receiving a surplus of new content overall, but it's going to take shallow sequels like Mario Kart 7 and blow them out of the water.

Give me a 3D Classic Super Mario Bros. 3 and ill be happy. I don't really need any other titles in 3D, except maybe Contra or a pokemon game.

Huh, I didn't know they were only making 6. In that case, yes, more 3D Classics would be appreciated, but only for important or truly classic games (ie NOT Urban Champion).
A 3D Mother 1 would be sweet, but we're more likely to get 3D Classics: Shaq-Fu before that happens.

Kid Icarus and Kirby's Adventure are the only real 2 worth downloading I'd say. Excitebike is worth a look as well, then again early 3DS adopters such as myselfy' got it as a freebie and it was exciing because it was the first ever Nes release getting the 3D: Classics Magical & Glazed treatment. I find Twin Bee to be pretty overrated, i enjoyed it at first but the incoming bells are very annoying and the boss battles were on the 'eh' side. I'm in the minority, but colorful graphics and charm aside which Twin Bee was rockin', i actually prefered the more generic and challenging Xevious. The 3D effect in that one especially is amazing, the layered clouds on the sides of the screen were NEStastic.
As for Urban Champion, it's pretty hilarious when you're duking it out with a friend. I don't hate this one nearly as much as most people. It's fun in short teensy weensy bursts, and there's nothing better than knocking your bud in a man hole to get eating alive by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It actually happens off-screen since they mistake your for an 8-bit pizza. True story!
Also, they nerfed the difficulty in Kid Icarus. In the NES version the Reapers were invincible when they spotted you while running around freaking out while the incoming 'Reapettes' were swooping down on your tail. Here in the 3D Classics version The Reaper can be taken down in that state with 5-6 arrows...I'm pretty sure there were a few other easy moments as well. I found the NES version to be more intense and difficult, while this version seemed on the easy side(ASIDE from the bottom to top classic scrolling stages '1-3 & 3-3) Then again, maybe Nostalgia is clouding my memories or that i've gotten miles better at retro gaming.
Punch-Out!! should of got the 3D Classics treatment! Same deal with Super Mario Bros 2.
