Nintendo Power has just announced a sequel to Shantae: Risky's Revenge coming to the 3ds eshop, and based on the screenshots and the little preview of the preview, looks to be another great game! So psyched for this, since Risky's Revenge is one of my all time favorite games. Comments?

You sir! Delete your topic!

Oh very well, Because I buggered up and accidentally posted it in the wrong forum (then reposted it in the eShop forum 30 seconds after you), I'll yield.

Exciting news, eh?

I didn't like the DSiWare one at all. Being a pirate sounds more interesting, let's see how this one goes.

If they can improve the in-game map and guide us a little better, I'll put up with the so-so retro gameplay to go through this one.

Exactly.

there's other eshop game y'know? You don't have to force yourself to play every game in the Shantae series.

Interesting...I like the sound of the story in this one. I am glad I am not the only who didn't think this DSiware one wasn't as good as it was hyped up to be, this one on the other hand looks very promising. Right now though it seems like an excellent time to replay this the DSiware game on my 3DS and see if it is any better than I remember.

Awesome! Never played the original or DSiWare games, but I'll keep my eyes open for this.

I was wondering when WayForward was going to announce their next eShop game :)

The DSiWare game is actually ranks 3rd out of 4 when it comes to WayForward DSi/3DSWare titles in my opinion. MFC and MSF both are superior titles IMO.

I'd like to see a tad bit more replay value (maybe achievements or a harder difficulty) as well as a slightly longer main game. The game was pretty good, but not superb like many put it out to be.

Also, on another WayForward note, I wanna see a compiliation of HD or 3D remakes of the Mighty trilogy (no remake of MSF needed in both cases).

I'd probably rank it as Shantae: RR being first, then Switch Force, then Milky Way, and Flip Champs as the worst of the four, but by all means still a good game

Getting this as soon as possible. Shantae with a sword and pistol will be interesting.

Eh, I wouldn't say I hated the gameplay (it was more the feeling that many of the enemies were placed for maximum cheap shots), and the map was terrible, so I'm hoping that those two will improve in PC. I'm entitled to my opinion, no matter how poorly I word it. If I want to spend the cash on a game whose prequel I wasn't terribly fond of, that's my problem.

Exactly.

I forgot the game even had a map. It sucked so bad I never used it.
