I'm surprised nobody talked about this future Gem in the eShop !

To put it simply : it's Game Freak's newest game, and surprise ! It is not a Pokémon game, but a Runner style of game, that is a rhythm game and it comes out next week in Japan !

So yeah, how do you feel about this one ? I'm pretty pumped !

I'm looking forward to this game. Looks really great, it's downloadable and doesn't have that high price compared to some other rhythm games for 3DS (of course other games are retail but...). Japanese also have demo for this game and it seems to include at least one Pokémon song.

I love the gameplay.

But the style and visuals overall are quite awful.

I disagree, I think it looks very good. It's going for an american cartoon-like look, and it pulls it off quite well.

Gameplay-wise, it looks good, but I think the rhythm aspect would actually make it a little too easy. It's hard to tell how challenging it would be when the trailer always shows the easy levels, handled by someone who probably ran through the level a zillion times.

EDIT: After seeing 10+ minutes of raw video, I think it's safe to say it's challenging. :P

So do we count Harmo Knight as a new Nintendo IP? Sounds fun to me, but I'm not really into rhythym games, i'm terrible at them actually.

Game Freak always makes something quality when they do something besides Pokemon. I still got to see some gameplay but I'm already looking forward to it. Hope we get it soon.

Oh this looks fantastic! I love the presentation and looks like the difficulty will be just right. The music is good too, but that should go without saying because..well..it's a rhythm game. A scene in there gave me some Parappa the Rappa nostalgia for a bit too, so that's a plus.
I'm guessing this is retail? Or am I somehow wrong and it's an eShop game?

E-Shop it says 18 dollars in Japan (give or take some, not e><act). Unless it's a really cheap retail.

It looks like it has the content of a retail judging from the videos. I wouldn't mind paying around $20 for it. With that said, the yen is about 30% stronger than the US dollar, so how much they'd charge in the US may be different.

It looks fun enough but Bit Trip Runner already exists...and Rayman Legends will have that type of gameplay too.

Hope it does well though, I don't want to wait ANOTHER 6 1/2 years for a new Gamefreak game that isn't Pokemon.

Bit Trip Runner blew chunks for me. I will be glad to get this. Rayman was alright.

If the levels are either half as long or include checkpoints, its existance will be more than validated.
