This may have already been discussed on here but I couldn't find it. So, my apologies if I am being redundant.

Anyways, are you able to transfer your saved data from a retail version of a game to a downloaded version? If so, how?

Some of my favorite games:
Ghost Trick, StarFox 64, WarioLand: Shake It, Kid Icarus, The Legendary Starfy, Endless Ocean: Blue World, Zelda: Minish Cap, Pokemon Snap, Diamond Trust of London, Paper Mario: Sticker Star, Gyromite, and Sonic Generations(PS3).

I'd like it if they allowed a full transfer of DS and 3DS games as well as original DS games being able to connect to Nintendo network

This is kinda stupid. I mean, who would buy the same game twice? It would be much better if Nintendo did a "Buy 1 Get 1 Free" policy that if you buy the retail version of a game, you get the digital version free.

Classic Sonic will always be the number 1 Sonic! I think Modern Sonic's great but will never beat my original Classic Sonic.

Giving away a free copy of the same game to everyone who buys it is not a good bussiness model.

Except you could then trade-in your physical copy of the game to a place like Gamestop, keep the digital copy, and make a bunch of money back and still play the game. Not a smart business move without a good DRM in place to prevent abuse.

Exactly.

Maybe they can have a trade in deal where the GS employees watch you, by giving you a code for free in exchange for the physical title, then you type in the code via eShop in store, and you the transfer your data, and give the Cart over for no money back

For ALL users, actual products should cost more then the digital version. Look at PSN and XBLA, and especially Steam (but that one's a stretch). They charge less then MSRP typically and have permanent price drops frequently.

Then look at the eShop. $40 Pilotwings digital vs $7 online. And the EU prices look worse.

Also, they should do some sort of way to give discounts to people with physical copies. This isn't exactly a fair comparison, but you can export RB2 songs to RB3 for $10.

Games like Cross Words Plus! and the new Art Academy are actually cheaper on eshop than retail. Plus those are you games you would want to have digital.

...No they aren't, assuming you live in the USA. You may want them to be digital, I'm pretty sure most would, but the cheaper part is falsified, as MSRP is $30.

GameStop lists fradulent MSRPs to make it seem like a better deal, just so you know.

I'm just assuming he's from the US due to the major places being here and EU. And almost everyone claims EU eshop prices are ridiculous
