No the game does not feature online leaderboards.

@accc
I personally never saw any "impossible to pick" sock on the Wii. I asked one developer and he told me that there was indeed a glitch that made appear 1 sock where it should not be. He did not mention 2 but maybe they were 2 if you say so. Anyway I can confirm that the 3DS version does not have such a glitch.

@Philip_J_Reed
You don't need to be assigned to reviewing the game to play it. It's available to everybody in the e-Shop :P

Nintendo World Report's full review is in: 7/10.

They loved the time rewinding mechanic, the humorous premise/music/graphics, & the fact that it offers more freedom than the genré usually allows.

They disliked the obstacles that can only be noticed by hitting them, the over reliance on memorization, & there's some delay in the menus.

So far:
WiiWareWave - 7.7/10
NWR - 7/10
Nintendojo - C (decent)
Nintendo Lifeline - no score (but was impressed with the game)

NWR rated 2 Fast 4 Gnomz higher than NightSky. I understand scores are not as important than the review itself. I understand that scores are a superficial summary of a review. But this cannot be right.

NWR has had some controversial scores with other titles too, like Denpa Men and Sakura Samurai. Although I like NightSky and would give it a high8/low 9, I'm more inclined to agree with NWR then NL simply because a 10 should be an outlier reserved for the best of the best.

Every score seem to range around a C grade, or 70-79%. This sounds decent, but not something I'd immediately burn 8 bucks for. A demo would be nice.

The game costs 5 bucks. A demo will be available later.

I would like to ask the opinion of the readers of this thread:
Would you be interested if I organised this little competition:

  • Until 16 November (or later, to be decided) you can send me a proof of how much time you needed to complete one nightmare level (one to be decided). The best time will receive an official T-Shirt from us.
    Would you, gamers, be interested into this kind of competition?

@QubicGames: Please, our Community Rules clearly state that no competitions be run by users at Nintendo Life. If you'd like to host a competition, we ask that you hold it on your own site, not here. Thanks in advance!

S/He could still ask NL to host the contest if s/he wanted right?

Like the Toki Tori contest and others.

Sorry. I don't want to host a competition here on NL, I just woud like to know the opinion of gamers about this kind of competition. I just want to know what they think. Then if I decide to create a competition I will create a news on our own website, and not a thread on NL.
I hope this is okay. If not, I can delete my previous post.

@QubicGames: Is a EU release on its way? This is one of the very few eShop games that has piqued my interest.

The game is suppose to come out in EU this week, so no worries of a long wait.

Well, you've got me there, I admit. :D Sorry if that sounded like I'd only buy it if I were reviewing it...I just meant that I have some other titles I need to be playing before I jump into something just for fun.

Having said that, this is definitely a purchase for me, especially after Morgan's review. Looking forward to it!

Okay, I've spent some time with it after all and I have to say I'm not having nearly the trouble distinguishing obstacles from background art with this one. The 3D effect is subtle (I don't mean that as a bad thing) but it's just enough to keep things straight, once you get used to it.

I'm already going back to perfect earlier levels, which is something I wasn't as excited to do on the WiiWare version. Very happy with this one!
