I didn't see a thread for this. Coming out (in N.A.) on Oct. 25.

Nintendo has it's price listed as $9.99. I'll probably still get it, but I was kinda hoping it would have been $7.99 like VVVVVV (it seems like big eShop releases have been having higher prices as of late, with Denpa Men, Cave Story, and this at $9.99 each, and Fractured Soul at $11.99. While earlier big releases such as Pushmo, Mighty Switch Force!, VVVVVV, Sakura Samurai, and Mutant Mudds are all $5.99-$8.99).

Anyhow, back on topic, I'm looking foward to this. Looks more relaxing than Nicalis' past two games (which are all about old school challenge).

I'm so tired of NA getting all these titles. I want Cave Story+ and this game as well. They're pretty much the only eShop titles I'm looking forward too .-.

NightSky looks gorgeous.

I already have NightSky on Steam so I won't be getting it now with the eShop release.
NightSky is a really fun game, I would recommend it.

$10 is about what I expected, especially since this was originally supposed to be on WiiWare where games usually cost a bit more. How much was it on Steam?

10 is what it cost on Steam, so I suppose it's reasonable.

It shouldn't lose any features like VVVVVV did though, seeing how this game doesn't have any besides harder difficulty.

Well I can't get it on Steam because it only supports PCs and I have a Mac, so i'll definitely get it when (or if) it arrives on the EU/AU eshop.

I am so glad this game is finally being released. Can't wait. Well actually, I have waited for 3 years. So I can wait. But I don't want to. Anyway, looks fantastic.

I don't know where to post this, but here we go:

I don't understand Nicalis. They tell us via Twitter that they will announce release dates for Cave Story + and NightSky. A few weeks later, a release date for Cave Story + is announced. Shortly after, Cave Story + is released. A week ago, the release date for NightSky was finally announced. By GoNintendo and Nintendo Life, among other online sources. But a week later Nicalis still hasn't acknowledged the NightSky release date, but they have gone on to suddenly start talking about Ikachan for the eShop. With NightSky's supposed release date in exactly one week, I would have hoped that Nicalis would have at least acknowledged the game's existence.

It may not seem like much of an issue, but after such a long wait for the game to be released on a Nintendo platform, I don't think it deserves "oh by the way, NightSky is out today." But I suppose I shouldn't have expected much else considering the game wasn't developed by Pixel.

I agree Radixxs. They should be more open about it. Give it at least a little word of mouth advertising. If ain't Cave Story it just isn't top priority I guess.
$10 bucks seems a bit steep compared to VVVVVV. How much does this cost on pc? I've been looking forward to this, but there's a lot of eShop stuff coming out close to this.

Nicalis is very underwhelming. Buggy, delayed releases. Milking classics. Meh.

Alright then getting this day one on 3DS.

Maybe it's because I haven't had to live through all their WiiWare failures, but I don't see what everyone's big problem with Nicalis is.

As far as 3DS goes, they've been great. By month's end their third eShop game will be out, all within a year's time (VVVVVV released in December of last year, so a full year won't have passed by the time NightSky releases).

That release record is on par with Renegade Kid's (whom everyone seems to adore, even though only one of their eShop games is a must have), and higher than WayForward's (who has only released one "3DSware" game so far).

I'll admit that their game's have had issues, but they've only been for side modes (and have been fixed), so I can't get too upset with them.

Nicalis ports some great games to new platforms, but they announced NightSky as a WiiWare exclusive in 2009. 2009. It took them however many years after consistent delays to release the original Cave Story port on WiiWare. And now it's three years later and they have released a total of 4 Cave Story ports on Nintendo consoles and 1 other game (VVVVVV.) And now they're ignoring NightSky even though it is apparently coming out next week. I've tried to love the company, I really have. It just keeps getting harder.

I guess I can understand your issues with them, if you've been following them for years, but from a purely 3DS perspective (which is all the experience I have with them), they've been pretty consistent. Also, I don't follow them on Twitter/Facebook, so I wouldn't know if they're hyping NightSky less than Cave Story eShop (I just check NL for these kinds of things, and they give even hype for all games), but if they aren't giving it attention, I can get where you're coming from.

Also, it's coming out in two weeks (next Thursday is the 18th).

Oh, I don't know why I thought next week was the 25th already. I want to play it so much that I've convinced myself that it comes out next week
Well hopefully they mention it before then. All will be forgiven once I play NightSky anyway
