They Liked: Great level creation tools, lots of varied content, and some great use of 3D.

They Disliked: Concept grows thin over time, with some lame mini-games.

Giant Jungle-mode provides one of the most stressful situations in my gaming-career EVER. Really, so stressful!

I really love this game!

It kind of reminds me a bit of March of the Minis - in the sense that because it's the first game in the series in this style, it feels a bit smaller than Miniland Mayhem, which I feel was just packed with different features. This one feels a little bit more scaled down, but I think that has to do with it being in such a new style.

That aside, it is a great game! A lot of fun, I'm excited to see what some of the later levels are like.

There seems to be quite of bit of content in this game with multiple tiers of
level designs. There is definitely a learning and difficulty curve for Mario and Donkey: Minis on the Move.
It is important to utilize all of the tools(such as bombs/garbage cans) provided to complete a level.

Has anyone managed to even make a slight dent in the Giant Jungle mode? I seem to constantly run out of time!

I have. I just did Giant Jungle Level 1 and thankfully, you do not have the collect all 10 stars in one go like I thought you did. I just aimed for the goal and got star 8, 9 and 10 on the way. If you want all 10 stars, it's probably best to do multiple playthroughs of the level.

@Kyoto

Yeah I agree the Jungle Mode is a little irritating still haven't gotten past the first level in Jungle Mode...

@Midnight3DS

The difficulty in M&DK: Minis on the move isn't too bad its in the jungle mode where things really heat up on the difficulty. Lol I unlocked by playing 10 levels each in the other 3 modes lol. Playing the first mode right now (Red) sorry... can't remember the names of each mode yet just remember Jungle mode because tried for a good couple of hours to get past the first level no such luck yet. The rest of the game is really good. Online feature is fun as well. I already made several levels in it & posted them online. ;)

Happy Gaming! (^_^)

I bought this yesterday. I love it so far. It's definitely worth the money, as there is a ton of content.

The main game is really fun, it may not be the most innovative eShop title, but it sure is a lot of fun. I wish they somehow managed to fit boss battles in here, though.

I like how you have to unlock each of the game modes, and characters. I also like how as you progress you unlock new minigame modes and toy models. Very fun game.

Worth $10, easily.

Looking for some 3DS and Wii U friends. PM me if interested!

I have to say this is probably my second least favorite game in the series (the GBA Mario v Donkey Kong gets that dubious honor) but that's mainly because the others are so excellent. This is still a great game...but Pipe-Dreaming a path to the exit isn't as devious a task as guiding the Mario Lemmings in the better titles.

Still great, and I may be the only person in the world who actually likes the mini-games here. Worth every penny...but still not a patch on the others.

How advanced is the level editor? Is it up to par with the rest of the series or better/worse?

You can do anything that's possible in Mario's Main Event. Any of the tiles possible work in it. You're locked with the one game mode and setting, though. Your puzzle size can be up to 7x7.

On a side note, a majority of the wifi levels right now aren't too great. Can't wait for some good ones to roll in.

One thing to note as well - you can adjust what kind of tiles show up, or even make it so that NO tiles show up. This allows you to make other kinds of puzzles, so while on the surface it looks as though custom levels can only mimic Mario's Main Event, it is possible to make other kinds of puzzles by adjusting what tiles show up! I hope to work on some puzzles that are tile free.

Also... everyone should head over to my level sharing thread so we can start sharing 3DS friend codes and start sharing levels with one another! I already have three up that I am pretty pleased with! This would be a great way to avoid the "all of the wifi levels suck" issue, which seems to be a constant throughout this series.
