Potentially troubling news for those of us in the States:

  • On the game's eShop page, the release date has changed from Oct. 25, to TBD (to be determined).
  • Also on the eShop page, the (false) price of $0.00 has been taken off, with no replacement price.
  • On Nintendo.com, the game doesn't have it's own page yet, while NightSky (Oct. 25), & next week's 2 Fast 4 Gnomz (Nov. 1) do.

Looks like the game may have been delayed (hope not, though)

Ahh crap, and I was really looking forward to this game too. Looks like I'll be buying NightSky instead...

Can anyone tell me if it's a bullet hell or a traditional SHMUP then? My decision on whether to get this rests on your answer.

Wait a minute. You expect us poor, innocent children to climb up dangerous scaffolding and paint naked people all over a church? We'll do it! But we're not doing it for art. We're not doing it for the sake of money. No! We're doing it because we love painting naked people.

Um, neither?

Oh well someone on another forum said it was a bullet hell shooter. I guess I shouldn't have put 'SHMUP' in my post. Okay is it similar to bullet hell then? Someone said it is and another said it doesn't look like one. I'm not fond of bullet hell anything.

It appears I was wrong with my delay theory (thankfully).

Going to play through this before I get NightSky. So far I've only beaten the first level. I don't know whether if it's because I'm not used to the controls yet, because I'm a lefty, or if the game's just tough, but the first level's boss was tough! Very fun game, though.

Bullet hell only applies to shmups. If it's not a Shmup, it's not a bullet hell.

oh dude i love that ass.
i have to admit i also buy this game to see all of the great animecutscenes.

funny thing: in the new trailer the general or whatever yells "incoming missle from behind" right when that picture is shown. it's up to you to decide on the meaning of that phrase...

^I've only played the first mission, but I hear there's only 5 in the game. With that said, it's definitely a replayable game, with 3 difficulty settings, and 30 achievements.

It's worth it to me, just to show that there's interest for niché Japanese games on the eShop.

The achievements will probably be worth it for me, since I don't have the money to buy something every week (there's one that requires you to beat the game 10 times in hard difficulty to unlock, lol). The only missed opprotunity I see, is the lack of online leaderboards (for a score based game such as this, it could have added a lot more replayability).

Is it just me, or does it seem like the bosses have an uneven difficulty spike?

I can go through the levels without any damage (or much challenge at all), then it's time for the boss, & I'm struggling to survive.

I agree, but it is much harder when playing left handed
