Bought this at the EU release. I think this is the best 3DS game in using gyro controls. I usually hate games that require using gyro controls but this game uses them well. So far I am in world 2 and the game has been good to this point. At least there is a lot to do. To clear the game 100% you'll have to get 5 stars from every level and collect every puzzle piece. Nice game.

So to the people who have it; how many 360 rotation levels are there? If there's not too many I may pick this up.

@Birdman - Sorry, I can't compare with Mario Kart 7 as I don't own it. Until now, there are more than 50% of the levels where you need to rotate your 3DS 360°.
But instead of turning the 3DS when movements required are more than 90°, I prefer to bend the 3DS forward. It's easier and more comfortable.

50%!?!?!? Aw man, ...I think I'm going to have to pass on this game.

I unfortunately cannot play this game due to a faulty gyroscope. I really wonder why Nintendo never provided an option to recalibrate that aspect of the 3DS. Does Spin Cycle provide that as an option?

@Vallu Thanks for posting your opinion! I just bought the game.

It would be very useful if Nintendo makes Miiverse available on the 3DS (and apply to 3DS software too).

So do the 360 levels require you to do the 360 turning throughout the whole stage or just little sections of it. How annoying is it really to do that turning anyways? I liked the first one so much I just can't seemto ignore this. D:

I played through the first chapter of the game. The 360 degree rotation levels are the best part of the game by far. The tilt sensing is completely flawless, it's extremely fast and precise and the water moves and reacts exactly how you'd expect it to, given the orientation of the screen, at all times. I don't see why people are having problems with rotating their system, either. It feels pretty natural to me and I can even pull off advanced maneuvers like quickly flipping the screen 180 degrees without much difficulty. (Maybe it's harder for people who have an XL?) The "normal" levels are great too, but they'll feel pretty familiar to people who played the first game. The 360 degree levels feel a lot more novel in comparison, and they basically add a new dimension to the puzzle solving..

I'm really digging the game's scoring system. Even though it may seem redundant having to replay the game's puzzles to finish under the time limit and improve your score, the puzzles actually lend themselves really well to speed running and it feels really satisfying to pull the solution off as fast as possible with a flawless run. One thing I don't like about the game is that the framerate seems to be a lot lower than the Wii game. It doesn't really affect the gameplay too much, but it makes the game look pretty choppy when the camera moves around. Plus for a game called "Fluidity", you'd expect it to be, ya know, fluid!

@accc agreed! I bought this game on opening day here in the states and loving every moment so far! I knew from the videos/screenshots and previously playing 'Fluidity'(original) on the wii that I would love this game.

One minor preference of my I wish they included in 'Spin Cycle' is the lay out of each 4 books. I miss every chapter/pages being completely connected and treated as one gigantic Labyrinth. Spin Cycle's chapter by chapter play through style is fine because you can always go back with new abilities where you couldn't before in previous chapters you played already. So it still has that feel of exploring on your own. That and the level design is so goooooood that I don't think about one gigantic labyrinth to much anyways. All in all I would say I love the sequel just as much as the first one especially the 360 degree levels!!!!!

It's really smooth and extremely responsive truthfully. I don't get why some are having trouble with it...I guess I can see some trying to get use to the whole 'upside down' perspective maybe but really, it's super well done.

I'm just gonna 100% Fluidity WiiWare first. Is there any sort of continuation between the threadbare story?

Well to be honest, at first I wasn't enjoying it nearly as much as the first Fluidity. I was kind of upset seeing as I plopped down 11 bucks for it, but as I kept going I started liking it more. The puzzles are getting clever and very well designed. The boss fights are an awesome addition to the game.
Overall I still prefer the original but I am enjoying Spin Cycle. :)

Good to hear! For me I like both games roughly about the same. I say roughly because there are a number of little things I like better in both games. What I do miss ALLOT is having every book one gigantic interconnected level.....would've easily made the game superior over the first if they did this IMO. But yeah I like them about the same so far. :3
