I think I'm in the minority, but TwinBee just didn't quite do it for me. Must of been the 'Bell shooting/power up' gameplay aspect that i felt made the game feel a bit too hectic and annoying. I felt the game played at its best when you weren't suped up to the tee' with all of those over powering projecticles which made the game an absolute breezey' until you died that is which radically boosted up the challenge due to your Weapons being taken away. Bye Bye Powerups.

The only two I've bought are great (Kirby's Adventure and Kid Icarus). I'd go as far to say that they're must have 3DSWare. Got Excitebike free (first month promotion), and it was ok, but didn't really hook me. Got Xevious free (Club Nintendo promotion), and it's pretty fun to play from time to time, and it gets really difficult. Twinbee looks interesting (and really fun from what I've heard), so I'll consider it if there's an eShop drought (must get if offered free through Club Nintendo), but for now there's enough decent stuff on the horizon to keep me busy. Urban Champion will never disgrace my 3DS though. From what I've heard, it's really horrible, and I won't even waste Club N coins on it.

Kirby: 3:25 (14)Kid Icarus: 2:26 (6)Excitebike: 1:43 (20)Urban Champion: 1:31 (9)Xevious: 1:17 (10)Twinbee: 1:11 (8)
I'm having a hard time scoring them so I'm just posting my play time, followed by play count. Strangely enough I have to say Kirby is probably my least favorite despite having played it the longest! Really though, I think they're all great. As far as Urban Champion goes, I originally only bought it because I want Nintendo to produce more of 3D Classics, but I was surprised by how it can get addicting and I find myself jumping to it more than I expected! Periodically, you rank up and I'm always thinking, OK just one more rank up and then I'll quit! Plus, sometimes you just want to unwind and punch someone until they fall in a manhole.

Don't believe the hate parade surround Urban Champion, on 2-player mode with a friend it's quite hilarious and fun in short bursts. It's got it's own humerous charm going on which i really like about it. But single player definitly gets old fast I'll admit.
Come to think of it, practically all of these NES 3D Classics are only good in short bursts aside from Kirby's Adventure and Kid Icarus. I could still do without Xevious, Twinbee and Urban Champion. The only reason i downloaded them was to experience the new 3D effect.

I've only played 3D Classics: Excitebike since it was free last summer to 3DS owners but the other entries either look good or vague. I've already played Kirby's Adventure and Kid Icarus on the NES, so I know what I'm getting myself into (even if Kirby looks great), whereas Twinbee and Urban Champion just look dreadful so I would never waste my money on them. Xevious is an arcade game I played years ago and it being on the 3DS isn't enough of a reason to play it again. It just wasn't very fun.

Only have Kid Icarus and it's great. The new backgrounds really add to the level and gameplay. The 3D effect is pretty top notch.

While I was never interested in either Xevious, Urban Champion or twinbee, it was the 3D effect that had me craving all 3 based on how it would change these games visually. Xevious I'll admit blew me away at first. It absolutely tutely' breaths new life into that game. , the Layered clouds look amazing and i love the sense of crazy depth between you and the enemies far below on the ground. And because of the 3D, i had more fun playing Kirby's Adventure on the 3DS more than i ever did on the NES. Kirby's 3D effect can me pretty darn impressive, especially with some of the platforms that look like they're poking slightly out of the screen.
3D has me trying out games i never would of bothered with in the first place. PilotWings Resort being one of them, which still remains as my favorite 3DS game.

lol ya...Xevious is super oldschool and it almost makes you feel like you're taking a trip back in time(Which is awesome of course!). It's not mediocre by any means, it just doesn't exactly boast enough variety or that 'real' longetivity factor to justify the purchase....or maybe. Personally, I'm totaly glad i bought it. The 3D effect was fantastic, and i find it pretty fun in short bursts. Yet I couldn't care less about these 'Point' driven' Shoot em up games. The game continuesly loops like Twin Bee and just gets harder and harder. You'll feel like you're in a repetitive brain melting Retro time loop.
Again, fun in short bursts, with some very impressive 3D....And you know it's a shame Nintendo is not continueing the 'NES' 3D Classic lineup. Talk about odd choices for 3D makeovers....Well Xevious, Twin Bee and Urban Champion that is. But they were unexpected and suprising at least. Too bad Punch-Out!! and Super Mario Bros 2 never made the list!

I see where you're coming from. It's just, I never experienced Xevious way back then and even from a 1993 standard games like R-Type blew any shmup before it out of the water. The nostalgia isn't there and the first time I ever played it was on this 5-in-1 Namco arcade joystiq thing. Mappy was so bad maaan. Hated that crap.
3D Classics: Super Mario Bros. 2? Yeah we'd be lucky to get that in the next five years if anything. Hell, anything at this point would be choice.

3d classics kid icarus was alot better for me then the original and was able to get in it,xevious is only fun to me if the 3d effect is on,twin bee is no different then xevious, exite bike was better then the original for me but still didnt like it,and 3d classics(WUT???) urban champion ship being abit better then the original from having the 3d effect but still not worth the money and kirbys adventure is kirby with 3d1.kid icarus, kirbys adventure2.xevious3.twin bee,UCS,exite bike(these ones i hate and didnt play much and only served one purpose...club nintendo coins)
what would of been nice was super mario bros 2&3 or something else worth my while

Kid Icarus and Kirby's Adventure are the only good ones. The rest of them are lame.

I know this isn't an NES game, but Super Mario World would be a perfect 3D Classic. If not, then Super Mario Bros. 3 or 2.

I love Xevious because I'm a huge Namco Museum nut, but I think Kirby's Adventure is the best game of the 6.

Kid Icarus > Kirby's Adventure > TwinBee > Xevious > Excitebike > Urban Champion
Although, as far as actually playing them on the 3DS goes, I've gotten the most playtime out of Xevious and TwinBee and have probably gotten the most enjoyment out of TwinBee.
