Hm, I have just enough money for this and I want it, but I already got plenty of games to go through. I don't think I can warrant purchasing this right now.

Haha I have the same issue. This is definately one of the best games in the Eshop and you wont be disappointed. The game isn't going anywhere though. You will be able to get it anytime. It moved way up my gaming list as one to finish immediately. I think its the beauty and simplicity that make the game good for me. someone mentions in an earlier post that the game is a generic sidescroller. I dont think there isanything generic about it.

Man, love this game. Played through it on easy, so next I'll skip to hard. The designers did a good job of not over-doing anything so it never feels repetitive. I love the game's look and tone, and the fact that it doesn't take itself too seriously. Sequel, please!

Played through this on Easy in around half an hour, but I beat it before on Android. Worth $2, sure.

Controls = Improved immensely
Graphics = Toss-up. From what I can tell, the Android version has smoother textures and less obnoxious camera angles, but the 3D is really immersive (funny how the best usage of 3D for me almost always comes from 2D Platformers)

If this had an update or a sequel, I'd like smarter enemy AI (the mechanics remind me more of BCR then Mega Man, and that game spoiled us with awesome AI) or some vs. multiplayer.

Yeah it was the video in the e-shop that convinced me to download this title. (Gunman Clive)

It's actually pretty good compared to what I was thinking it would be. Really enjoying it so far. :)

As for the generic comment I don't think who ever said that was referring to the game play of the game. I think that comment was more directed at the actual artwork in the game.

Even though I do really like & enjoy the game it only feels generic in the artwork/design area. For example like when you draw something & make a rough draft of it then you re-draw that same thing with more detail same thing apply's here. It's like an unfinished painting to be blunt only as a video game instead.

10/10 stars from me though in game play. ;) I don't ever give that many games that high of star rating but for a 2 dollar game. It's justified in my mind lol. :D

Happy Gaming! (^_^)

The art style is far from generic. Many of the levels are designed rather blandly, which is why I'd consider it generic (that and the lack of AI when coupled with the controls, but that's blatant bias).

The OP said generic, because that's what the commercial said.

in my opinion, the real challenge here is getting par time with no damage... so it's really worth it for it's price, $1.99 for a decent challenge!

too bad, it has no survey for club nintendo, i have lots of things to say about this game :(

Definitely a fun game, very Mega Man inspired. Short, but at $2 can't really complain. I wrote a review for it:

I like this game a lot. Currently on level 6. How long is this game? It feels like Contra so far to me. (The only MM part I could relate is how the guy looks on a ladder when shooting)

There are 20 levels. You can finish the whole game in less than an hour. After that... you unlock a special character. Playing through with said special character is definitely a different experience.

You will definitely see more Mega Man influences later on. Including some stuff basically ripped straight out of Mega Man.

I don't know what to say man, I checked my activity log after my first play on medium and it was 48 minutes. Guess it depends how often you die, whether you rush through it or not, whether you keep your 3DS open when you pause, etc.

But... you're really only on level 6 after an hour and a half?! I find that kind of tough to believe...

I've just started it. I've beaten the first 6 levels and so far its great. My only complain is the camera in level 5's boss.

It certainly delivers the goods.

Beat Gunman Clive today. one of the most fun titles Ive played on 3ds and actually ranks right alongside some of the retail games i've purchased. A gem indeed. I played on Easy mode and did not run into any glitches. The game itself is so Pretty. The developer should be proud to have a game like this and offer a great price so that anyone who owns a 3DS can enjoy it. I would love to thank the Developer/programmers and also this game should be Considered at some point for an award of some sort. It's that good. The later levels are amazing. I wont say anything you just have to play it. It's definately better than it's Android/Apple Counterparts using the 3DS control Pads and the Amazing 3d effects they pulled off. It was nice to see the price point the same as it sells for in the Googleplay Market Unlike Zenonia which is .99 cents in the googeplay Market and 7.99 in the Eshop. If they would have a price drop on Zenonia I would pick that up. It would be interesting to see how many copies of Zenonia are selling these day. I'm pretty sure whoever does the pricing on Zenonia will be stubborn and not change that price point. I would think selling copies of the game at say 2.99 or 3.99 would get it moving

i regret getting zenonia. the controls are not well optimated for the DS. 8€ is just way too much.

That was probably because I spent a half hour figuring out the controls... And then another hour of dying a lot... I did beat it today finally though, and am playing on normal and hard in the extra mode now. (WARNING, you can't attack)
