With a couple rare exceptions like the "Mighty" games from Wayforward, I never pay more than five bucks for an eShop game. Games priced higher than that are rarely worth it.

only digital games i only paid more then 15 for

unchain blades for the 3ds. 29.99 Big mistake when i found out i could of got it for 7.50 for my vita (played around 60 hours so got my money out of it)

Your paying the Nintendo tax, that why indie games cost more on Nintendo consoles.
This money will help Nintendo fund for their new console called the Wii U Too

Just read the RPGamer review. 1.5/5. Guess I'm not the only one who isn't enjoying the random-crashing feature. :P

Age really hasn't played a factor in game pricing (especially with Nintendo) since people realized they can sell rare retro games online for a fortune.

Don't let GameStop rip you off. Support used gaming and check out 99Gamers. Best trading service I've used.

Well Nicalis converts these Android games and then raises the price in the Eshop. There are a couple other devs who do it also. Heck Zenonia has been .99 cents in the Android markets for ages. In the Eshop this titles goes for 7.99 drives me but as I tell ya.

Well I couldn't stand it and bought Grinsia. Other than the game crashing 1 time per hour and it seems to be on the nose of an hour. There is a mighty fine RPG with a decent story going on. I managed to get into the game 5 hours. I'm very impressed with the way they handled the 3d and the storyline is excellent. Battles play out quickly although they seem to be slight slow motion. Even though the game crashes I love the game so far. If you get this game save often cause the timer is ticking every hour for the game to crash. Weird how that is happening

I don't see a problem with the original price... my main problem is that Nintendo never holds really big eshop sales at least in the 3DS... the most you get is stuff like 20% off you never see stuff like 50% or more off like you'll see on the PS store, not to say Steam...... there are exceptions like the recent ubisoft sale, but the thing is with PS store or steam I just know that if I just wait i can eventually get the game I want at decent price, while I never feel that way with the Eshop

well right now there is a problem with the Price of Grinsia. That's the fact that its a broken game. Otherwise its a nice old school RPG. But paying 10.00 dollars for a broken game doesn't seem fair. Really the game should be taken off the Eshop until Nicalis fixes the game. They have said nothing about fixing it.

It's not that easy to compare these platforms. Steam manages sales and discounts by offering a set price to developers, and Sony pays developers so they can offer their games for PS+.
Nintendo doesn't really do too much in that regard - they leave the marketing to the developers/publishers themselves. So, if the publisher doesn't intend to, there won't be a sale. Nintendo barely has any influence on that (except for special stuff like the Mario Kart 8 promotion, dunno how they did that, though...). To be honest, I think that's better, because it doesn't devalue games as easily.

SPLATOOOOOOOOOOOON!!!
Backloggery is pointless - who cares what you play?
Link in Mario Kart 8 is the worst crime Nintendo commited against the Zelda franchise - even worse than the CD-i games!

Not to mention frequent sales might probably develop bad habits in consumers, devaluing games to a mere penny if consumers can pay that much...

I agree they are bad habits (Getting stuff I am pretty sure I won't like but it is a possibility I might or it is critically acclaimed but not in a genre I usually like) but pretty much always end up with me spending lots more overall.

I get everything digitally (Otherwise if I do get it then I end up not playing it very much). But I have already bought pretty much everything available I am willing to pay the full price for. (Only had it since 30th May). I got retail versions of Dark Souls 2 / Wolfenstein for less than the price of a Nintendo Selects game. Getting stuff digitally is much more risky because you cannot do anything with it as well.

If you compare Wii Nintendo Selects and Gamecube Players Choice the reasons for them becoming so tight with it must be used games. Thing is they get more from digital by comparison so they should want to encourage it.

There is another thing as well when Valve puts something to 75% off then the amount they get goes up by a factor of something like 20. If stuff is dirt cheap at Retail they should match it digitally.

Question? I don't plan to call Nintendo just yet about a refund on Grinsia. But does anyone know when or if it should be done? I like the game but I'm averaging 1 crash per hour. Its like the bug is on a 1 hour timer and it seems to be right to the minute. Also has anyone tried to get a refund on Grinsia? Nicalis has been real quiet about fixing the bugs in their games.

I don't have Grinsia, but from the looks of it, it seems worth the 10 bucks. I really like the art style of it, and I believe it has more content than the phone version.
