@slidecage Nicalis have already announced that the game will be improved on 3DS. Also it's 8 bit, do you really need the extra resolution of mobiles? Plus button controls. Buttons are the input mechanisms of gods.

To be fair, touchscreens do help a lot with traditional rpgs, they reduce the tedium of having to tap one hundred directions on the dpad and confirming with A ten times to attack.

But moving around in a map is average at best. Usually it feels like skating in butter.

Why does the fact that it's a port mean that it should be sold for less? It's the first time it's been on this platform so it's obviously being aimed at people who haven't played it yet. If Tomb Raider and The Last of Us can charge nearly full price for a re-release a year after the 1st one, $10 for a indie game is completely fair and about the right price. Your expectations don't fit with the general pricing on the eshop. After all, Links Awakening is about $8. How old is that?

Converted from Sony to Nintendo during 7th gen and never looked back.

Looking for impressions if anybody picks this up. All I could find was one review for k is and it got a 7 out of 10. They warned of bad lag but I'll assume that won't be a problem here.

I think they are not charging enough. I sold all my three year olds for $20 a head.

Been playing Grinsia lately. Not bad so far.
Is it just me or do some of the graphics look like actual 16-bit games? The overworld reminds me of Breath of Fire II and I see some FF5,6 and CT.

Although I really got to start saving often. The game has randomly crashed on me a few times already.
I don't see an update available so I must've downloaded it post-update.

With a couple rare exceptions like the "Mighty" games from Wayforward, I never pay more than five bucks for an eShop game. Games priced higher than that are rarely worth it.

No matter what the game is, try your best to find enjoyment in it for whatever reason. Sometimes a bad game just needs a bit of a shot to the arm with the imagination of a goofball :).

I'm sorry to hear that - you really missed something special with Child of Light.

I don't have a Wii U. If I did, I'd adjust my price limits since I hear Wii U eShop games are just more expensive in general than DSiWare/3DS. : )
