We know it has mini games and some kind of world to roam around, but I dont think it has a set objective as such.

So does this game have an actual goal? Or are you making creatures just for the hell of it?

From my understanding, it has quests and there will likely be an ending. As you complete goals you get more creative tools. So the main draw is creating for the hell of it. We'll find out tomorrow, but if your not willing to create it likely won't be worth your time.

Abandon hope all ye who enter here.

Well my first impressions are quite good. Managed to plough a couple of hours into it without even knowing. Im not overly keen on the platform controls (using stylus to control) but easy to pick up and play.
Doesnt seem an intense game, perfect for casual players and gamers but I imagine that there is plenty of depth to it with the customisation you can do.
You not only build 'formees' the habitants of the world but also the fearures on the planet.
I actually prefer this over Drawn to Life which is one of my sons favourite game series.

I wasted $7 on it. Fool me once Nintendo... I can't believe Nintendo put their name on this, I hope Pushmo is worth it.

So, from the limited amount of info on the game I have, is it kinda like Drawn to Life meets the original Scribblenauts? Would that be an accurate description?

Exactly.

You don't actually draw anything. You select from pre-made shapes and combine them to form a creature.

Ok, but how does it control? If it's like the original Scribblenauts, count me out.

Touch controls for everything. Tap left to go left, tap right to go right. Tap up to fly. Drag down then up quickly to jump.

So far I've heard both good and bad things about this game... Really need a review for this one lol. Though I would love to create a Zelda theme world and Mario theme world with this bizarre little title :P

I'm having lots of fun with this game, particularly the very flexible creation tool. Made a rendition of an old favorite character from MST3K:

Still going to wait for more impressions and the review.

How is the world building?

I would have posted the QR code, but there are still a few little things I'd like to tweak first and I haven't unlocked the "Edit Formees" feature yet. When he jumps (which contrary to what the other poster said, only requires you to pull away and release like a slingshot), the arms jiggle just like the real T Servo :D.
As for the world editing, you can't edit the topography, but you can completely edit the look of houses and trees etc. You can also change the color of the water, sky, and ground.

Editing the topography would have made this game much more enjoyable. Being able to actually create your own landforms and reshape existing ones is a missed opportunity.

I got this and have so far sunk about 2 hours into it. I am enjoying it but still have some reservations. It doesn't seem like it has too much depth. This does seem like it is gonna keep expanding as I go on though so I'm hopeful. Even if it doesn't though, I'm still happy with my purchase. Creating Formees is really fun and quite time consuming (I literally spent like a whole half hour on making the last one). The creation system is extremely flexible letting you create basically anything. I hope this one really catches on because I really want to utilize StreetPass! Anyway, thus far I would probably give this an 8/10 (Keep in mind though, I'm a very artistic, creative person and naturally enjoy stuff like this). Oh, and this game is weird....like really weird. Its good its a download because it like...Japanese weird and probably wouldn't have had a shot at localization being retail.

I'm only about a 30 minutes in (giving it a quick test drive) and I can see myself having a lot of fun with this. Like bboy, I consider myself and artistic and creative person and, yes, the game is VERY Japanese. I already have some complaints however. The game is on timer. It plays to Nintendo's "take a break" philosophy in an extreme manner. Maybe not as extreme as the limited Nintendogs franchise but still.

The game has a certain charm but it has to be said that the sound (you can choose the gibberish of the formees) is pretty obnoxious. If you've listened to the game trailer you probably would've guessed this but it's even worse in the full product. There's also some collision problems in that it's hard to go down a pit area if your legs stretch too far.

Those problems don't mean much as the slow progression, unlockable features and flexible creation tools are more than enough to keep me going. Be warned the game is niche though and is strictly an acquired taste.

The game would be a lot better if you could actually draw your character, instead of picking pre-made shapes and gluing them together.

The sound is obnoxious, yes. I would have liked if you could record your own voice and use that instead (the 3DS has a microphone for a reason).

The progression is too slow for me. Not much to do except wander around a big empty environment, looking for trinkets and do-dads.
