Now that I got the $30 eShop credit I finally have funds to buy DLC but there is so much to choose from I have no idea which, if any, I should buy. What are the best?

I did not want to derail anything.

To be honest, it's all incredibly overpriced. I got the ones that came with a new class, but even then I kind of felt ripped off. Personally, I'd recommend getting a different game, or at the very least playing through what you just bought before tackling the DLC.

Well I plan on spending money on DLC for Shin Megami Tensei IV so I figured I should get one or two of the best from Fire Emblem.

Well, if you plan on getting DLC go for something that offers either a new class, or get Rogues & Redeemers 3 for the limit breaker skill. The other DLC isn't worth paying $3.00 for a level you'll be done with fairly quickly.
There are no stupid questions, except for the ones that are.
Bergmite, Piloswine and Snover safari.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.

Honestly, if I were you I'd buy the Golden Pack, the Future Past Pack, and Rogues and Redeemers 3. It may sound like a lot (half of that $30) but it's all quality anyways. Golden Pack gives you extra gold and weapons, Future Past gives you a story that's better than the main game, and Rogues and Redeemers gives you one of the better skills you can get.
Really though, this is assuming you're planning on playing after you beat the final chapter. Otherwise, you only should get the Golden Pack if you're planning on trying Lunatic Mode.

Alright Rogues and Redeemers 3 seems like a must so far. I might go for Future Past too, Golden Pack I was never that interested in because it seems really cheap.

Eh, it could be a little cheap I guess. It's kind of useful if you want to max out your characters though. If you don't want to do that though don't bother, but you may have trouble getting strong enough to beat Rogues and Redeemers 3 (pretty sure it's harder than all the main game chapters)
