I'm the only one who just hates eShop? Not the games are in,but an overall services. I want to upgrade to XL but I can't since I'll loose everything I bought. I've spend quite a lot of money there, also Im an ambassador so loosing these titles is not an option.
Ive always pirated games on pc, but steam changed it. So not only I started to buy games, Ive started to buy games which I wont be able to sell(thats quite important to me). Not only that they have great services, the main reason was that steam made me feel that I own these games and more, I want that from nintendo too. I want to know that I won't loose those games, I want to have a signature in forum and show everyone what collection of games I have, I want to have achievemnts like in psn. I'm playing mario tennis right now, and how much the achievements could help. It would last me for so much more if I knew that getting every single trophie will give me one platinum medal for my profile.
I live in Lithuania, they don't sell games there, or they are too expensive, but when buying from uk I have to wait 2 weeks. I would love to download it but I wont untill they'll make their services better. Cmon nintendo, take my money. I wont be able to sell my games, I wont buy used games, just make the eShop usable. Its 2013 already!
Anyone feeling like I do?
And sorry for my grammar.

You still loose progress and have to redownload your Eshop games... yeah, that's quite a dissapointment from ninty I think :(

I personally feel games should be played because they are fun, not because they reward you with trinkets for each and every mundane task you do.

What if I have to sell 3ds to buy XL?

If you have an issue with Nintendo's digital system, you'd be best served by contacting your regional Nintendo branch (I'm guessing Nintendo of Europe in your case) to voice your concerns.

There's really nothing any of us can do.

Most retailers (or at least the ones around here) will let you transfer data if you want to trade in a 3DS for a 3DSXL by giving you a few transition days. If you want to sell over the internet though, I'm not sure how that would work.

Same here, though I think we're out of context.

And yet other people do.

Which is better? Having features that people want, but are not necessary for people who don't want to use them. Or leaving out features that people want?

Hint: one option makes everyone happy. The other doesn't.

I was just voicing my opinion. If people enjoy them, then keep them.

The OP asked what we thought, and I responded, stating why some of the problems he listed didn't bother me.

Pretty simple really.

No you don't. I transferred my everything from one 3DS to another and I lost nothing. I didn't have to re-download anything and I didn't lose any progress in any of my games- Retail, eshop games, VC, DSiWare etc. As long as you follow the exact steps of transferring you don't lose anything. Hope that clears up part of your problem.

Me too. And trying to get 100% is one of the things Im considering being fun. But when you do it just for yourself it doesn't work as it could. Psn system gives an social aspect which nintendo dont give to us. It lets you to compete with your friends which I find really fun. It gives you the ability to show others how dedicated to certain games you were. I understand that many people dont need this, but I miss it. And every system have it.

As others have already said, the games ARE transferable. Although I do understand the annoyance of having games tied to a console rather than to an account. Nintendo needs to get with the program in that regard.

Achievements actually annoy the hell out of me. I wouldn't mind so much if you got them for difficult activities, but these days you pretty much get achievements for playing the stupid game. It's pitiful, and I get irritated whenever the game acts like my making some progress through the main campaign is an "achievement." It's not. At least, not one worthy of being called an achievement.

Shrugs

It's not enough for me to not play XBOX or PS3 games, but I bet I'm not the only person who actively dislikes the current achievements system either. Not everybody is going to be happy with the choices made by these companies.

You're not the only one, but I'm afraid complaining here will do you no good. You'd be better served complaining to Nintendo in your region, as they're the only ones who can do anything about it. Good luck to you!
