So I created this thread to discuss anything related to the game. I suppose it deserves to have a different one from the original but in case there's a problem with this thread just let me know. For the moment I don't have much to say about the game but I'm enjoying it quite a bit. Using Copen feels quite strange to me but in a good way if that makes any sense, I jut need to get used to his controls.

So I just finished Gunvolt's story mode and now I will focus on Copen. I don't want to spoil anything so in case someone has a question(s) just ask.

Edit: So I just finished both story modes and... it seems I can't unlock something in the menu that demands me to "finish story mode" despite apparently finishing both campaigns. I figured it was a third act or something that would continue the story where it ended in both campaigns but who knows, maybe I still need to do something.

My impression about the game is quite good, I found it more enjoyable than it's predecessor and all I can say is that I'm quite happy with my purchase. I was able to adjust the button layout wich I really liked and if you feel that the conversations that happen on the missions are annoying you can just turn them off. Copen is quite fun to use, and while it feels quite different, it's actually like using Gunvolt but in reverse. The bosses have harder patterns than in the first game in my opinion, but there's something you can abuse with both characters that makes the game really easy. Also, the game allowed me to have my revenge on internet trolls in a certain way, so that's definitely a plus. The stages are decent, some are better than the first entry and others are inferior. However, I had a lot of fun using Copen despite the stage. The music is good, but nothing extraordinary unless you count the songs from the muses which I could appreciate despite not being a fan of japanese pop music. I found equipment and synthesis to be unnecessary in this game, however if some people don't use the thing I mentioned that you can abuse I can see people having some trouble with certain bosses. I can't judge the story properly for the moment because it seems to be incomplete, but from what I've seen I found it inferior to the first one while still being enjoyable. Conversations between missions were better though, I recommend you to talk with the characters as much as you can.

Edit: Ok, so I finally completed the story. It does continue a bit and it was a nice story, as good as the first one in my opinion. I really recommend this game, specially if you enjoyed the first one because it was better in most aspects in my opinion.

I haven't beat the first game's final boss yet, but I'll probably get this sequel after I do.

This blue eye perceives all things conjoined. The past, the future, and the present. Everything flows and all is connected. This eye is not merely seen reality. It is touching the truth. Open the eye of truth... There is nothing to fear.

@Vinny I really recommend you this game if you enjoyed the first one. I had more fun with it, and I feel it has a lot of replay value. If you do, please share what you think about it.

I played it for an hour today and I gotta say, I'm really impressed. How can this game be so good, yet Mighty No 9 so meh?

@JaxonH I agree with you. If I have to guess, I think that it's because this game had no expectatives to accomplish to most people since it was the underdog and it was trying to do his own thing instead of trying to be successor of a beloved franchise. Also, it seems Inafune doesn't have what it takes when it comes to be in charge of a project, while in these games he was involved very little despite being labeled as executive producer.

I'm just really happy this game exists because even if it's not the same, it carries the Megaman spirit way better than Mighty No 9. Which campaign are you trying first?

Glad to hear many positive comments about this game! I loved the first game, so I'm glad this one is getting good reviews, as well. I'm getting it as soon as I finish Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice. Can't wait to try out Copen!
