Is this the game with online play? Is it more like AiRace or AiRace Tunnel?

How will online multiplayer work?

So is this going to be like Kersploosh aka Splash or Crash aka Hyu Stone?

^In that case, I hope it's actually priced higher because that would basically ensure more modes.

I'm hoping for a lot more content then AiRace: Tunnel even though that was a great deal for $2.

To answer everybody's questions: AiRace Speed is rather the sequel to AiRace: Tunnel.
So the whole game is about flying into tunnels. However the tunnels will feature much more variety than in the DSiWare title.
The dangers won't only be the obstacles, you'll also come across strong curves or ways split in 2. Also, after flying in the tunnels you will find big rooms, which we call chambers, where you will have a lot of space and things to discover.

So as you can see @rayword45 there will be a lot more content than in AiRace: Tunnel. However we still want to keep easy for the wallet. I can't tell you any figures yet but I can confirm that the price won't be high.

Regarding Multiplayer, as you understood you are going to fly alone in the tunnels, therefore the Multiplayer part lies in online leaderboards. You'll have your scores ranked and see what are the other players' scores to beat.

@accc What is similar with Kersploosh! is that you mainly move into tunnels or pipes and have to dodge dangers.

@QubicGames What about the Vehicle selection. As I recall from the DSiware release, despite there being multiple vehicles, only one specific vehicle is locked to their respective stages. Each are different only in skin but they are identical in function and control. Can we expect a variety of aircrafts that have each of their own stats and designs? Also is there a possibility of the game running at a smooth and constant 60 fps even with the 3D effect enabled? One can only dream.

Indeed in AiRace: Tunnel there are planes different in design, locked for their respective stages. Only in the more complete AiRace (the other DSiWare title) you can select which planes you want and review their stats.
In AiRace Speed for sure there will be different planes as well with very different designs. Regarding reviewing their stats or selecting different aircrafts for the same stage, I can't tell you yet how it will be. It will be revealed later. To stay informed on this, the best is to check the blog (http://www.airacespeed.com). Sorry for not giving you any info now.
Regarding the last question, you can be sure that the game will be very smooth. This is guaranteed. I can't say if the framerate will constantly be 60 fps but we promise you all a very smooth and fast flight without latency. The engine we're using is quite ''high-tech'' for the 3DS. The visual and controlling experience will be of very high standard for this console.

If this sells well, would you consider another racing game rather then a tunnel game? I never tried AiRace to be honest. A lack of online was major for me since very few people I know had DSis

Yep we would totally consider doing another racing game with combat (more like AiRace) and online multiplayer if we are satisfied with the sales of AiRace Speed.

Is there going to be a demo for this?

Yes a demo of the game should be available.

Nice, I like what I'm hearing so far. Online leaderboards go a long way in preserving re-playability. I enjoyed the first game, so I'm looking forward to this.

YES! AiRace Tunnel is probably my favourite DSiware game so I'll download this day 1. I would enjoy a proper sequel to AiRace as well though!
