Ok, I've downloaded everything except altered beast and holy wow these are some of the best retro re-releases I've played. I love the added autostereoscopy. I love the platform, the 3DS screen really making the pixel art stand out unlike high resolution mobile screens these days.

I really like the 3D pop-out option for Ecco and Sonic. I think they look much better than the default sunk in setting.

Im looking forward to next weeks batch already! And man, I hope the second set releasing in JP make it west side too.

I knows there's more I could say, i just want to hear the retro love from others enjoying these "what Nintendon't" gems! :)

I have an question for people who play 3D Sega Classic games. Can you see the 3D in eShop description? I can't tell it is in 3D or not while I am looking at the screenshot as well the video.

Umm… Care to have some gravy?

Very unfortunately and lazily, they have not bothered with 3D screenshots in eShop. I don't know why, maybe too many people are indifferent about the 3D but it seriously should have been there for those who are curious as the series is called 3333DDDDDD! C'mon eShop!

I can say the 3D is real nice in all the games (beast I didn't buy so I don't know there)

These really sound good. I really would like to see the pop-out 3D. Somehow I have never been a Sonic fan, but it might be nice to play this.

Had a chance to play Galaxy Force II and man, it's awesome in 3D. I quoted Damo in his review, and he's quite right:

"Galaxy Force II doesn't contain a single polygon, yet the impression of rushing through space, avoiding collisions with asteroids and dodging incoming enemy fire is so intense that it puts many modern 3D titles to shame."

Anyone who likes space shooters don't hesitate! Also MiiVerse for 3DS add some nice community to playing the oldie games.

Yeah, rise from your grave VC. SEGA has saved us all from the woeful Nintendo releases because they're the only reason I power up my 3DSXL these days... Galaxy Force looks and plays better than blocky SuperFX chip Star Fox imo ;)

I wish I could get some but I am broke right now.

Also, as much as GFII probably looks and plays better than Star Fox (I never played it which is why I said 'probably,') I doubt it's actually better than Star Fox. IMO, SF is a brilliant game (one of the best games ever) and I don't know about anything else, but it controls fine for me, the music is amazing, the difficulty can be as easy or hard as you make it, and the graphics are still great even to this day, although I know nobody will agree with me on this.

@Donjwolf I agree with you about starfox, I go back to SF64 3D time and time again between releases of new 3DS games. But I will say, if you have an appreciation for how well star fox holds up today in terms of its gameplay and overall presentation, GF II I think can be appreciated by the same fans in a very similar way. It 's just another great game with a similar style that has been very nicely re-released. If you do get a bit to spend on video games again, I think being a star fox (and possibly a retro) fan, this might be a good one to try out. Also I should mention that this version is the first I've played of the game too :)

Galaxy Force predates Star Fox by a good number of years so you can say that Nintendo copied SEGA then added some kiddie animals into the mix ;)

Anyone have anything awesome to say or anecdote about Shinobi III? It's coming this week and I've never played it before.. Difficulty? Appealing?

i might get one or two of these next time i get some eshop funds. i really wish they had better 3d videos of these though, its so hard to tell, and i like to know wether or not the 3d effects are worth it before buying.

@supermario182 ya I hear ya. My brother was also curious about getting sonic but the lack of 3D screenshots in eShop left him unsure if he will buy. i tried to convince him all the games are quite great looking lol. Ah well. Like I mentioned above, it's insanity that they got lazy with the 3D details when that's the appeal here.

Anyway, like NL tweeted, just hours till the final 2 classics are on eShop. This is some of the best stuff I've downloaded retro-wise since.. well, ever !

I've just completed Street of Rage. II is still my favourite but this port is SWEET! I've downloaded all but two. This whole set is awesome! The Mega Drive has a fond place in my heart and I would love to see the 2nd series make it to UK/US.

It is the best ninja game ever made and one every 3DS owner should be rushing to get.

How's that for a good word? ;)

@SparkofSpirit Awesome. It is now in my 3DS ready to go.

Streets of Rage looks and sounds so so good on the 3DS.

Any pixel art or retro fans need to be picking all of these up (except Altered Beast it's the odd one out in terms of quality, I read)

3D Shinobi is indeed quite fun. Puts the 3DS Shinobi to shame...man, they could have put more love into that game. Anyway, this ones here now and it's great.

This series rocks, I hope it never ends. No way I could even post a list of all of the titles I'd like to see given this treatment, it would read like a Genny discography. I feel I must champion some Phantasy Star lovin', though.

They are in 3D and look pretty Glorious. At first I didn't know if I liked the sonic because its not full screen. But after playing it a couple hours the otherday. It's pretty awesome and worth getting
