There's no way Urban champion is in the same league as other really basic games.
The original Zelda is really basic yet that's still a good game.
I'm all for retro gaming but Urban champion was pathetic even when videogames in general were.
Frankly I'd have more fun playing Pong.

Yeah, I gave this game 2/5 in my review. It's really, really bad. Never technically broken, just dull in the extreme.

Agreed. It's just so boring. There's much better early NES titles with simplistic gameplay like Excitebike or Wrecking Crew but this one's down there with the ranks of Mach Rider.

I think it's the simplicity that brings me playing. Although I also gave this a 2/5 because it repeats itself after round 4. I wouldn't mind if they revamped the title for wiiware as they did with exitebike.

I think it looks good, I'm getting so I can have the complete collection of 3D classics; plus I think I can have some fun with it.

Way to ignore everyone. Good luck with that. :P

There's no reason to be so rude. For crying out loud, this is just a video game!! Just accept the fact that people like different things and not everybody follows the NL review staff like blind sheep into a battlefield. They're not always 'right.' I happen to like Urban Champion, mostly because I love the retro titles and grew up with them and they were classics back then just as they should be today. So think before you speak, and be respectful. The end.

I'd only like Urban Champion if it was a freeware though.
I think that the good titles should be paid for.

It's a conspiracy, I tell you.

I don't believe I was being rude to anyone. I haven't insulted anybody or called anybody names, and I haven't used vulgar language. Please calm down. Thank you. :)

Grumble some people aren't capable of thought other than beyond their own little world which they love to share like the only right answer and don't like being questioned. You're right, no one should blindly follow the reviews here (or elsewhere) like ignorant sheep doing as their told. There have been some really questionable reviews I've seen here such as that rotten DS Starfox review that rated it high, yet never even touched on some of the aspects of the games or known problems with it just going with a glossing. Years ago IGN reviewed an early beta of Evolution for the Dreamcast, the review covered a game that didn't even exist like an authority, which is was, just on a beta that was changed a lot before retail. ;) Fact is, get what you like, and flip the bird to the childish types who can't stand the fact you make like something they don't as reasoning with the types rarely ever works.

Be strong people. It might be tempting to pay a lot of money for these 3D-Classics but so far none of them have honestly been worth the pricing. The fact that honestly Game Boy VC games are the only other option means that these games are getting buys just because people are bored, which is why Nintendo is free to keep producing them :/

I make Pixel Art on occasion.

Have to disagree with you there. Have you played Xevious 3D classic? The game is freakin amazing and they did a really good job with the 3D effects.

While some people may enjoy the games, no one will ever bring these games up when talking about NES classics.

Destructoid posted their review of the game. They gave it a 5 out of 10. Here is the link: http://www.destructoid.com/review-3d-classics-urban-champion-...

And I find it pretty sad that the only thing a lot of people will bring up is first party Nintendo games. I swear these are all some people play.

I bought it(both the 3D classic and VC version) and still play it. I like it, and I like the 3D look of the game. Its got the old school Nintendo charm even though the gameplay is very simple. I'm going to give it a good rating on the 3DS e-shop.

Have any of you check the Nintendo eShop lately?

That game is selling and the amount of satisfied owners are very high. Nintendo campaigning their own operation (Potfall) and it's a success. Now let's move on to my operation please, all Urban Champion haters welcome.
