I can't believe it everyone on here. You guys love Game & Watch games do you? I think it plays like a Game & Watch game, I like the NES version. You don't go on a 20hour adventure, it's just way too basic for you guys.

If it is anything like a Game & Watch game then I will pick this up one day.

I think it plays like Game & Watch Boxing kinda... except you travel a bit and people drop pots on your head and the cops drive by. I know for NES standards, one Game & Watch like game isn't that good, but I think at this low price, being able to pick up and play it's a bit better. I mean honestly you wouldn't play this for any longer than 10 minutes. But I always play this game in small bursts. I actually have it on VC, gonna go see how far I can get.

Edit: I looked into it, it was based off Game & Watch boxing.

He still calls it a bad game, but I thought it was fun with what he made up.

Watched the trailer on the eShop, and added it to my wishlist. I'll get it to have the whole collection, but it looks fun and simple. :)

Goodie this came out I'm going to go pick this up in a bit when I can get a break. I liked this game back in the day. Yeah it was stupid and simple, but it was fun in a rock paper scissors type way trying to punch the other chump into the hole before you ended there. It was shallow sure, but cool and good in short bursts, and for $5 it's totally worth it and in 3D for sure. Can't wait.

Now if they just would follow suit and send me some Twinbee lovin', but knowing NOA that'll be tough since they're stupid and the one time they gave us Twinbee in the day it was the sequel Konami put out and as Stinger. Maybe a little hope, the arcade one was in that DS Konami package.

My first impression of the gameplay is that it's ... well ... uhum.

On the upside, it's a nice treatment of the game. I've heard so much bad things about this game over the years, that I had to try it eventually ... and as an historical curiosity it is worth a purchase.

Activate 3d in the options menu by pressing Y. (Indicator on the lower part of the screen).

The game is garbage. So much better quality at $5. It makes me sad that Nintendo calls this steaming pile classic when there are so many even mediocre games that would be a better choice. The majority of free flash games out there are better than this!

I played the original NES version, and I thought it was cute and I enjoyed it for all of an hour, but the fact was it was too easy to repetitively knock the CPU down every time it got back up. Maybe the game would be more fun playing with a human opponent, but since this game has no download play, forget ever managing to find someone else with a copy of it. So no, not even the reduced price could entice me to buy this unless they've somehow modified this game to actually have some challenge and replay value. I'll stick to playing Xevious.

I wish people who actually bought the new version would comment on what they think, not people who hated the old one.

I think the problem is no one is actually buying the game, so no one can comment on it. Anyone considering it is probably waiting for the review first.

And why wouldn't they? The game has a pretty notorious reputation for being awful and look at the IGN review. It is probably the first of many low scores. I played this game back when it first came out and from the looks of things even with pretty 3D graphics, the game still can't be saved. I sure as hell can't blame anyone for waiting on the reviews.

LOL IGN. :P

I got both versions of this. I enjoy it for it's simplicity. It's not the best game ever, but it's FAR from being the worst.

@ TwilightV
If you enjoy games for their simplicity then I bet Pong thrills the holy living crap out of you.
Sounds to me like everybody's in lousy game denial.
I guess Nintendolife will have to rip it a new one before everybody admits it sucks.
