But at the same time I'm awfuly mixed on the added back drops.....In the NES original, that black midnight back drop in combination of the actual level design looked fantastic for the first stage for example...However in the video, that added in Underworld Valcano background robs KI of that semi magical look....It just doesn't look right for some reason. But it's understandable why the added it in hence the 3D effect....But eh, I'm just not feeling it.

I wasn't really feeling the original game. It's way too brutal in the difficulty department and those Egg plant Wizards make it almost unbearable. Then Nintendo had to go and remove the passwords from the Wii VC version. I honestly don't understand how that game could have been so popular.

Well, I already have the other five classics in my 3DS so I'll be getting this too. Doesn't look bad from the videos I've seen and the added background art seems alright. My only wish after this game comes out is that Nintendo and other companies decides to release more classics, and not just stick with 6 titles. I mean, I can think of a handful of titles that would benefit from the S3D like 3D Worldrunner or Rad racer.

KId Icarus was a magical experience for me growing up, not even the original LOZ could match the impact that Kid Icarus had on me...But at the age of 5 I always chose Platformer-esque titles over Adventure games like LOZ, as fantastic as they were. There was just something about KI that sucked me in. Be it the amazing whismical and memorable SFX and chip tunes, Pit himself, those crazy creepy gream reapers and their reaper babies, the egg plant infested Palace/Dungeons and the distinct unique, fun and original gameplay ect ect.

It's a great game, especially for one of Nintendo's earlier efforts. And as far as difficulty goes, it was tough.....But that's how i like them and that wasn't suprising considering the NES boasted such uuber challenging titles like Adventure ISland, Ninja Gaiden I-III, Castlevania III, Zelda II, Ghosts 'n Goblins ect ect. And i think it's safe to say something like Zelda II destroyed KI in the challenge department....Then again, those Egg Plant Wizards were just irritating in all of their awesomeness. :p

Captain N was also tied in with the KI experience for me. Seeing Pit in Cartoon form was just amazing at the time, same deal with mega Man. Sure their appearances were a departure from their video game counter parts but that's what I totaly loved about it. :D
