I haven't played Xevious, but I'll be getting that one next. Do you have Twin Bee?
Currently i can't make it Past 2-2 Don't tell me this game is an endless vicious cycle that never ends. :p

I have all the 3D classics, and I can tell you this, Twinbee has far more appeal than Xevious. I still like Xevious, if only because it provides more of a challenge. Also yes, Twinbee does cycle after world 1-5, with stronger enemies. Sad to see that Nintendo only plans to release 6 games and with Kid Icarus on the horizon, thats it for the 3D classics line. I hope they do plan to release more, I'd love to see a 3D world runner in S3D.

That's all I need to read to know everything. Classic.

Hahaha, any time! I've got a million more up my surfer sleeves. ;)

How does it compare to Xevious? Cause I got bored with that one after dying over and over in the first level.

Don't have TwinBee yet. I'm not really getting the point of 3D Classics, they're just NES games with "3D" visuals. The only one I really enjoy is Kirby's Adventure.

With 'just' 3D visuals? Dude, they make an incredible difference and bring visual magic to the experience. If these games didn't have 3D i wouldn't even bother, the '3D' is the entire point. Weren't you saying earlier that you have a pretty tough time seeing the 3D? If so, then i don't think the 3D classics are worth getting at all, especially when you can already get Kirby's Adventure, Xevious, Urban Champion and ExciteBike and probably all of the future releases on the Wii's VC, unless you want to have them in hand held form.

Really!? 6 NES 3D Classics total? I thought this was going to be an ongoing thing considering there's so much potential with many other NES titles sporting 3D? I'm guessing they'll be doing 3D SNES classics next. Yet the word 'classic' doesn't seem to mean a thing...Ahem, Urban Champion. :p Excite Bike doesn't exactly fit the Bill either.

Guess that leaves me with Xevious, Kirby's Adventure and Kid Icarus....And speaking of KI, as excited as I am to see it in 3D, the backdrops just don't look right. They don't seem 8-bit and they basically look like they were randomly ripped from some other game. There was just something about those Black backdrops and the like in the original that i loved in contrast to the stage design. It set this unknown and mysterious atmosphere for the underworld and left your imagination running wild.

I wasn't sure about the backdrops eiter, but having actually tried the game I can say they look great in my opinion. I'd say it was the best 3D Classic, but Kirby still beats it in gameplay and length.

I make Pixel Art on occasion.

I personally never cared too much for Kirby's Adventure....the floating mechanic feels sloppy in that one since you have to press 'up' on the d-pad while in mid air to activate it. Newer releases like in Super Star Ultra and every other modern traditional Kirby release let you press 'jump' while in mid air to float which works and feels way better to pull off and then of course pressing the jump button whenever you wanted to gain more heigh by floating.

As for Kid Icarus, loveee that game. Nostalgia is strong with this one Obiwan. :p The opening scrolling title screen music and font were just magical back in the day. Everytime i see it, it just takes me back. KI boasts some legendary and incredibly memorable sound effects and tunes to boot. Bubble Bobble's scrolling title screen + music had sort of the same effect on me as well hehe.

anyways! How's the 3D effect in Kirby?
