Funny you should mention that. Nintendo said it was gonna be removed before it did and when it first came out Nintendo said it wouldn't be there forever. There were plenty of warnings ;)

I belive that when it was first released they said it was only from September 2011 to February 2012. Not to be rude but if that wasnt enough warning I dont know what would be.

I know, I feel stupid now since I never got it myself. I got my 3DS in March, and didn't know until I looked on the e-shop that it was over. I had waited until moving back to Japan before buying my 3DS so...I guess it just wasn't meant to be. I'm not one who usually looks up gaming news and all that, at least I wasn't so much for the better part of last year since I was finalizing school graduation, getting hired by my current company and getting ready to move back here. I was a bit busy, but I do wish I had done a bit more research. Oh well...

Plus if you owned a 3DS, you might have received a Spotpass note with a message saying that it would be removed. I think it was one week left when the note was sent. I thought they would had just made it a paid download after the deadline. Shame, since it's such a great game. Even if it wasn't free I'd still pay for it.

It might be back someday, maybe as a Club Nintendo reward?

there`s always the possability that it might return.
look what happened to super mario 2 lost levels on the VC, that was a limited release, then they put it back up after fans complained.

I'm a bit surprised they're not just selling it now.

I'm glad I downloaded it when it was available, but it seems a bit strange that they're missing out on money by not making it available for purchase! (Much like the ambassador 3DS games, in fact. They would likely make a killing if they put those up for sale).

I used to have a blog link here. I'll put it back up when the blog has something to read.

I got both but I'm not at all sure I will be able to TRANSFER Zelda 4 swords , or Tetris party to a new 3ds if I get one.... HEY some of us are not exactly NINTENDO EXPERTS .. some of the Dsiware games do NOT transfer ..that is the truth.

Tetris Party, however, will not. Nor will Crazy Chickens/Cave Story.

@rayword45 - Maybe not anymore, but I was able to transfer my DSiWare versions of Cave Story and Tetris Party when the System Transfer feature first became available for the 3DS. I also don't see how you couldn't do so now; just because you can't buy a "new" digital copy of any of those games anymore doesn't automatically give Nintendo the right to prevent you from transferring them from one system to another.

Exactly.

The game needs to be in the eShop for the trasnfer to work.

Only because it isn't up for sale anymore doesn't mean it isn't still registered on the eShop.

I know why. They put out a free zelda "game". really it was justa small sampler for a REAL zelda game (though i still love 4 swords). so now that peeple are hooked on zelda, and a lot have heard of it, they take it off and add other older zelda games onto eshop, trying to revive older games. smart, nintendo. smart.

IM A ZELDA ADDICT BTW :D :D :D :D :D :D

I had already downloaded it months ago. I wonder though, if I were to delete it, would I still be able to get it back, or would I be out of luck?

@Linput14 you do realize it's just an enhanced port of a side game in a GBA port of LttP, and it was zelda's 25th? :P
