I was thinking that what if Nintendo uses the Wi-Fi and creates a special DSiWare program where a person can chat with someone face to face since there are cameras and a mic to speak in? It could be the first "picture phone" for the DSi.

After all, there was a Simpsons episode where Lisa sees a vision of 2010 which included a "picture phone" and 2010 is not that far off now.

I need my puppet princess.

That would be cool, but there could be a 3-word problem:

TONS OF BLOCKS

Tomena Sanner: Because dancing businessmen are awesome.

dont we already have a camera app for the DSi that comes with it? i think so but why do you want one when we already have one?! XD

This is ground control to major Tom, you've really made the grade. And the papers want to know whose shirts you wear
Now it's time to leave the capsule if you dare

They've existed for a lot longer than that!

The technology was delivered back in the 90's. In the 80's, everyone thought it would be a good idea. So when the tech actually arrived... well... it wasn't nearly as good of an idea as it had seemed like in the movies. It took another 10 years or so for the tech to find a useful and economical purpose such as teleconferencing.
