@ Melvin - I quite like Uno. The matches can be quite fast paced, unlike some rounds I remember playing when I was younger and they used to drag on and on (you know how it is when you find yourself with just one card left, and moments away from winning, and the next second you suddenly have a dozen cards to get rid of. Grrrrrrrr). There's a one-on-one player I play a lot because it does go quickly, or you can play against 3 other computer players for a longer game. And if I'm interrupted in the middle of the game I don't feel bad shutting the DS in the middle of it. That might seem like a silly thing, but I like to play at night while I'm winding down after a long day at work. It helps me relax without giving me the feeling of "I have to just get to the next level before I can quit......" like some games do.
I've still yet to play an online game. Maybe we'll need to set up a time with someone else on the forum?

As for me, I don't really know what all the hype about this is. I like the original UNO, though. Does that justify anything?

its almost like nintendo is doing everything in their power to stop UNO dsiware from coming just to release shovel ware.....

Truth be told, I actually considered this to be shovelware, along with Bejeweled, Solitaire, Bookworm, and the like.
Now I'm kind of confused.

But different games appeal to different people. Uno might be a dull game to someone who has a lot of family and friends around them and can grab a deck of Uno cards. I don't have that option. And for people who like playing Uno they might not always have someone willing to play along with them. It might not be a thrilling, fast-action, "can't put it down till I get the next level" sort of game ... but that doesn't mean it's not fun for someone who just wants to play an old favourite card game in video game format.

I played my first online game last night. It was just a bit slower than playing the computer opponents, though I suppose that could be because one of them had a slow connection (one player took a lot longer to go than the others). I won the game! But after that I couldn't find anyone else online. Maybe I need to look earlier in the day.

That is nothing new to me.

I think I get it now. I guess it would be a good idea if I want to play a computer opponent, or if I don't have cards with me.

MySims camera is better than Uno.

this is a UNO dsiware fan topic. if you want to bash this game and say how horribal it is do it somewhere else.

And for only 300 more points than other territories had to pay. A shame, as I've got 500 points just sitting that I had planned on using for this too.

I don't believe I'll be shelling out the points for this one - I wouldn't want to give Nintendo the impression that it's okay to hike the prices just for NA.

800 points is a rip off. Nintendo should know that the WiiWare and DSiWare users are well aware of the pricing in other territories. You know since they provide no information on the games themselves, people go online to learn, and hence learn about the other territories games and prices.

Shame Nintendo of America.
And the bad thing is, people will probably still buy it giving Nintendo of America the reason to do it again. Maybe we'll see solitaire come out at 500 points...

800 points? Then I will be on strike too!
Oh, it's too late anyay. Most likely, geek-master and this little fan club's NA inhabitants are all tapping "Purchase UNO" right now.

Not to get off-topic, but Intersect is pretty good. Don't let the price jack for UNO stop you.
If anyone jumped the bullet, I just opened a new thread for NoA impressions (like if it's even worth 3 more dollars).

What's more sad is that Nintendo of America wants to screw us out of more money.
