so let me guess you found the info from wikipedia

hopefully it was from ign were you got that from

This is ground control to major Tom, you've really made the grade. And the papers want to know whose shirts you wear
Now it's time to leave the capsule if you dare

theblackdragon

actually, a quick google search turned up a Joystiq article about it and this article here on Lines and Colors where they go over both Inchworm and 'Colors!', another drawing program for the DS. here's a different blog with a tutorial video up (for some reason the tutorial vids on the actual Inchworm website didn't work for me ).

i must admit I'm very tempted to go the Colors! route, but I'd have to look into which flash carts actually work with the DSi. hmm.

Wow, Inchworm looks great. But Nintendo still intends to release Moving Memo Pad, right?

nagareboshi

theblackdragon

they were certainly talking it up as a main creative feature of the DSi, and i believe one article had them [Nintendo] hoping for a release this year. Inchworm looks like the long shot, Moving Memo will be the sure thing (eventually).

hold your horses people i think flip book DSi will be anounced at E3 2009

ilomoga

I think you're wrong. It will be released 2 or 3 years later, like Animal Crossing on the GameCube.
Or it could be the Europen/US launch title for the next DS!

I think you might be right there theblackdragon, but what about the last 2 weeks for it in May? still thinking of E3?

i sure as heck hope either they announce it there or at least let us know what's holding up the release. After all, they were really touting Moving Memo as a great piece of software at their speeches/addresses as seen on the internets, with silly demonstrations and all, so here's hoping they at least give us some new information if it's not released this month.

i got this idea becuse sence the check mii out channle was announcedced at E3 2007 so was the wii ware suvice becuse they wanted to excite people about app's that would be realy popular in the near future just like the check mii out channle was announcedced at E3 2007 so was the wii ware suvice and now nintendo wants to make people anxious for the DSi flip book becuse they know it will be a big hit. so thats why you should hold your horses people i think flip book DSi will be anounced at E3 2009

What is Flipnote Studio?

Knux

'Flipnote Studio' is the official English name for Moving Notepad/Moving Memo/Moving Memo Pad/Ugoku Memo-chou, as announced at the Nintendo press conference at E3 this past Tuesday. it's a pretty dumb name IMO, but i'm guessing they ran into trademark issues (like with 'Wiimote' and 'Wii remote') and had to come up with something completely new.
