So did anyone wind up downloading this one? It looks way too girly... so I didn't.. lol... but what did ya'll think? Was it worth the 500 pts?

To me, it looks like a waste of 500 points. My sims camera was a let down on quality, and besides, the quality of the camera is not good enough for you to use the pictures. This program seems good for those who like to fool around with there pictures on the DSi, otherwise, I wouldn't get it.

MySims Camera actually looks like decent fun for two bucks. This, on the other hand, for five...

Ok, let me start by saying that I am male and downloaded this game/app. I knew it was sort of geared more toward girls but DAMN! This game is VERY pink! In my defense, I usually impulse buy any Nintendo game and I didn't think this game would be THAT femenine. That said, I hate to admit that this is actually not a bad app. It gives you alot of customization options to play with photos. It's sort of like an extreme expansion on the grafitti lens of the DSi Camera. While all created pictures will likely look very girly, they do look nice. For 5 bucks, I'm glad I bought this and can see myself using it from time to time. It shall be sitting at the end of my menu though If anyone has any questions reguarding this app, feel free to ask.

What are some of the features that you can take advantage of?
What places this above MySims Camera? How is the 500-point price tag justified?
Are there unlockable frames? What's the percentage of "non-girly" frames, etc.?
What else can you adjust with each photo beyond just frames?

Hmm..... I might get this.... Girliness is a plus for me. LOL

I want to see the reviews and screenshots, especially. (I really hope that they get a girl to review this.)

I guess it would be nice if you could do a Youtube video showing it's features....; but...then again....., I'm not sure you would want to expose yourself to that level of ridicule. So I wouldn't blame you if you didn't. (Maybe you can upload it to Google Videos if they even allow embedding of it here. I think Google Videos doesn't have a comments section.)

Well I don't have MySims Camera but I think it's just an app to add a character overlay to a photo, right? This app is much more in depth than that. As far as frames go, you can unfortunately only add a frame on a picture you are taking right then and there. If you import a photo from the DSi Camera, they don't let you give it a frame. As far as editing features go, there is an extensive number of pens all with their own styles accross 4 different tip sizes. There is a function to paint a background on a photo which can be skillfully cut around a main object for a nice look. That option has about 20 different paint styles. There are also paints under the same option which are semi-transparent. Another feature is stamps. These are things like hearts, flowers, stars, sparkles, or a few other miscelaneous objects that can be stamped onto the picture in 4 differnt sizes. You can also rotate each stamp to get the right position or angle you need. Although you can't add a frame to imported pictures, you can use "frame like" things to lay down on all 4 sides if you are really dting for a frame. One thing this app doesn't have that I really wish it did is an undo button. It has one in some capacity in that you can save your current work and then if you mess up you can jump back to your last save. As far as non-girly frames go, I'm sorry to report that in my brief skim through available frames(only actually took one picture with the app itself), They all seem relatively girly. This goes for most everything in this app like the stamps. Lots of hearts, stars, etc. not a ton of manly stuff to choose from. That said, even with the wide array of girly stuff, it's possibble to make a composition appealing to a guy. Oh, and the presentation of it is pretty high quality too. So for the extra 3 dollars from MySims Camera you get a wide array of frames, stamps, paints, and pens with which to alter photos and a well put together presentation. I would deem this app worth the money. If you are a guy and don't mind downloading one of the pinkest games I've ever seen, This is a fun app to bust out in times of boredum. Don't let the girl theme put you off too much(although it is a little much) This is a fun app that I am glad I bought. Oh, and If you're a girl, go for it! This type of app is right up a girl's alley!

Awww, c'mon! You said you download EVERY app so you could "review" it for your friends so they could decide to purchase it or not. You better man up, put yo big boy britches on, download Sparkle Snapshots and start uploading your pink, sparkly bedazzled pictures for us to look at so we can decide if it's worth it or not. It'd be the nice thing to do.

I'd just prefer to be able to super impose shots of Peach, Rosaline and Daisy in various stances like Sims Camera. heh heh heh.

I didn't know what to expect when I heard the title announced yesterday, but seeing the review pictures today shocked me. It's like getting hit with a gallon of estrogen in the face. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I guess.
