Topic: Shantae: Riskys Revenge due out Monday?

Considering the fact that this game is technically 10 years in the making, I think a few more weeks can't hurt, 'm I right?

Wrong i want my shantae game now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please lolz iam sick of waiting 4 it so what we have 2 wait till may 4 it o heavens no plz!..... ugh gust hoping it comes out this monday and i bet every 1 is hoping it comes out monday 2

@Mickeymac: I partially agree with GenieMagic, while I'm okay with waiting, what I don't like is not knowing how long to wait. When was the last time anyone has even heard any information about Shantae? For all you know this could end up being like Duke Nukem Forever in that the company responsible for it will never be satisfied with it and continue moving it along to newer hardware as it gets announced. For all you know, now its a 3DS game. Not everyone would be happy with that. I don't mind waiting, but I don't like not knowing how long to wait. Feels like Cave Story again and as much as I love that game and its awesome, I probably would've loved it just as much a long time ago.

Hmm well the only current source of updates I regularly get about this game is the Wayforward Twitter. But even there, the latest comment is that Shantae will be displayed in Ninty's next issue, and to bear with them a little longer. But HOW LONG CAN I BEAR???? I may just go insane with all this waiting......

This won't be out until summer, or at least, that is my guess

Omg you guys with the comments i gust heard it feels like shantae is not coming out tomorrow which totally sadness me i agree with both mickeymac and zono15 mabye we wouldnt mind waiting 4 shantae but if only they could tell us how long to wait you now like give us a specific release date if i dont hear from shantae either on this month of april or may iam sooo giving up on shantae and gust moving on and letting wayforward do whatever the they want and release it when they fudgeng feel like it because they been giving us false days for shantaes release and nothing it feels like she isnt even going to be release ever ugh groans

and last x i ever heard from shantae was from nintendo magazine which was so last year i think it was there october or november issue they dont even have any info on her website geniegirl.com why even have a website of shantae if your not going to put any updates of her like hello! hope matt or wayforward reads our comments ugh!

I was hoping the game would come out last month. Eh I can wait, I've got Heart Gold, Soul Silver, MW2, Brawl, and other games to hold me over. I'd like to play it asap but as long as my 1100 DSi points are safe I'll be good to go.

Maybe If this doesnt get release tomorrow I can find peace with the two unfinished DS games collecting dust in their cases.(Hour glass and Chrono Trigger)

Yes, there's like, 14 screenshots, all of them look great. Yes, I've read it about 2 times.

How come so many people refuse to enjoy the games that are available now, and only care about what is coming in the future? Are gamers really such and impatient and unappreciative bunch? Do they simply prefer anticipation to actual gaming? Just strikes me as odd.

Well, Shantae is just a game tht people have been wanting to play because they missed out on it. The game literally came out at the end of the Gameboy's life, so not many people have played it. And now, about 8 years later, it's one of the best games around on the GB. People just feeli like they missed out, and want to see what all the hype is about, without shoveling $100 for the game. Hype is usually what would make us wait for years to play a game. I know that because of the hype, I bought Final Fantasy 7 for the hype surrounding it, along with other games. But with new games coming out like Super Mario Galaxy 2, a sequel to one of the best wii games, and Sin and Punishment 2, a sequel to a great game that was never released here, there's no doubt in my mind that people would wait to play good games.

Very thoughtful of you Ejamer, it strikes me as truth that which you speak of. Me myself loves the anticipation more than the actually gaming some of the time. Won't you start a new topic of this!?

Btw I've never had the chance to play the original shantae and I'm really looking forward to it on dsi!

2 words "Who knows". On Nintendo's website it said that Shantae would come out in the first quarter, and it didn't. It also happened with prehistoric man, Nintendo said in the summer at E3 and it came out like 2 months ago (I want both Shantae and Prehistoric Man)
