Just thought this might be a fun post for people who have both systems and C download software from both the PSP and DSi online stores. Your thoughts?

I say DSiWare. Although, I have only downloaded 2 PSP minis vs. over 100 DSiWare downloads I think that says a lot. I have gleaned over the whole minis section on the PSP go and literally next to nothing piqued my interest.

The tittle says Minis vs DSiWare
Sorry, but as cool as PS1 games may be, that comment is out of place.

Minis and DSiWare are very similar in many ways, for me, it's a 50-50 in terms of quality; but i tend to side with nintendo, i have like 2 minis and tons of DSiWare.

I think that PSP minis launched too late to be of any interest. They are generally of lower quality than dsiware, but not as much choice as ipod/iphone.
I will definately be interested in what the NGP & 3ds bring as even dsiware came relitavely late in the ds's lifespan.

At least PSP minis got Angry Birds first.

DSi ware for sure, PSP minis I don't enjoy much aside from Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter which gets boring, Monsters Stole My Princess!, NOVA, and Tehra.

In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

As an unbiased owner of multiple DSi and PSPgo systems and as a large purchaser of DSiWare and PSP minis, I can confidently assert that there is no way in hell minis even come remotely close to DSiWare when it comes to better quality titles, absolutely NO WAY. DSiWare is the winner, no contest.

Great thread idea!

I'd have to with DSiWare mainly because I have DL'd a LOT more titles on my DSi than my PSP. They are both pretty good services, but I've used up over 5 Nintendo Points cards and only 1 Sony Points card on their respective services. On DSiWare there are several gems like X-Scape, Shantae, Cave Story, Aura-Aura, Thorium Wars, and Starship Defense, while the only Minis that I've downloaded and found pretty good are Blast Off (which has incredible music), Echoes, and Young Thor.

DSiWare definitely. On PSP Minis, most of the good stuff are expensive iOS ports and other stuff like that, while DSiWare has a bunch of cheap, great, original games.

Aw man.. I wasn't going to bite, but here goes.

I prefer minis, personally (not to say there aren't good DSiWare games, I have 40,000 odd points worth).

Pac Man championship edition
Super Fruit Fall
Dynogems
Coconut Dodge,
Vector TD
Numba
History: Engineering an Empire
Pipe Madness
Puzzlescape
Monsters Probably Stole my Princess
Echoes

... There's a bunch more. I have some 50 minis, and generally speaking I spend more time playing those than DSiware. Minis links to my PSPlus account, so I get some free every month, and then there are occasional sales that put the service way ahead of DSiWare as a shopping experience.

But that's just me. I think people who think the extent of Minis is Angry Birds haven't dug deep enough into what's on offerl

sykotek

The best minis don't come close when compared to the top DSiWare titles, but that's not to say there aren't fun minis. I'm just saying, as an overall, it doesn't compare. minis are really primarily bite sized consumable games, DSiWare at the same price are generally more fully fleshed out titles.
I have 20 minis and I didn't get any for free, they're pretty hit or miss, but I am enjoying the latest overpriced iPhone port,

I recommend it, really, its fun.

I gotta say, at least minis go on sale once in awhile, even though you're still likely to pay more for that port even when it is on sale, it doesn't really bother me as its only a few dollars and who cares as long as the ports are fun, not all of them are though. Under no circumstances should anyone judge minis by Angry Birds, I just played that game today, that port is absolutely terrible!

While I love the birds that are angry on PSP Mini, DSiWare just has far more amazing games available on it. And sykotek, if you don't like the PSP Mini Angry Birds, can you recommend a better version? I'd love to see one even better than the PSP one.

Plain old gamer :)

Are you being serious Corbie? ~_ I'll assume you haven't played Angry Birds on Android(Free) or on iOS then. There's no stuttering or an abundance of loading/saving in those versions. Play the Free Android versions or the iOS versions if you wanna play Angry Birds for real. If you're stuck with PSP only then I suggest you never play the others to learn what you're missing or you'll end up disappointed. ...I hope they patch it soon.
