Yes, quite charming indeed, mostly due to Orion's presence in the environments though. It's really, really easy.

Try the challenge mode, that's where the game goes from charming to evil.

I backed on Kickstarter, and was pretty happy with the end result. It's not a game that everyone will love, but is cute and fun enough to justify the purchase. The tangram-like puzzles are pretty easy during the Adventure mode, but ramp up a little bit during Challenge mode due to limitations on the number and/or types of pieces used.
One thing that is worth noting: this game is a large step up from Hands On!: Tangrams (http://www.nintendolife.com/reviews/dsiware/hands_on_tangrams). The presentation is more polished and the puzzles more varied. It really feels like the developer put a lot of extra effort into presentation and polishing the control scheme.

Intriguing. I can't connect to DSiWare, so I can't re-download that shooter I like, let alone check this out.
Error code 290220. I looked it up on the Nintendo site and got this:

Nintendo DSi Shop
There appears to be a temporary issue with the Nintendo DSi Shop. Please wait awhile and try your connection again later.
If you have waited several hours but are still receiving this error code, please call 1-800-255-3700 for assistance.
I don't want to contact Nintendo and have waited more than a month for this to blow off.
