Ikachan is an incredibly under-rated game by Daisuke "Pixel" Amaya, the creator of Cave Story. And it's coming to DSiWare! It looks like a pretty minimal-effort port, but it's a great game so YOU SHOULD BE EXCITED!

Well, I was kinda impressed by Cave Story on my DSi, so I'll get it if Nicalis is doing the porting again.

I'll try too, since I like Cave Story but, I never hear of this game.

It looks like it controls kinda like an 8 bit underwater Mario stage. Yuck

it dose look alot like an Underwater Mario stage, and looks hard to control too.

It has The Cave Story look, andThe Boss Iron Head Fish from Cave Story it in it too.

Nah, if Nicalis is porting it they've probably learned their lesson with Cave Story WiiWare and have waited until they're almost finished with it before announcing it. That's what I (and probably a lot of other people) are thinking right now.

Cave Story DSiware came out soon enough....in the US.;'(

/me is very excited w/ this news.

That's not going to happen with Ikachan. With Cave Story WiiWare, they were completely revamping every aspect of the game. Ikachan is a straight port, so you won't have all those delays, because there's not much they can screw up.

And with the fact that it's a straight port in mind, hopefully europe won't be waiting for many months to get this game after the US get it.

I'll give it a go on the PC some time. Looks like a nice little game!

@Terra Unfortunately I don't think the amount of effort put into a game, or lack thereof, has any bearing on NoA and NoE's release schedules for DSiWare. :/ For that matter, I don't know of anything that has any bearing on those seemingly-random schedules, lol.

It was a microgame on Wario Ware DIY. It was made by Pixel for Big Name Games.

I just saw this in Nintendo Power magazine, and I fell in love with the style instantly! And (to no suprise) its by the maker of Cave Story <3 I must buy this day 1, I hope it comes out next monday in the US <3<3
