This is getting kind of annoying I'm getting tried of waiting a week for one dsiware game to come out. Lets get to the point I'm thinking about emailing nintendo. Here are my ideas they could make a dsiware community were everyone can make a dsiware game or app, they can make more free apps or games, they could release games everyday instead of just Monday, kinda like microsoft and the ipod. And why cant they make you able to download movies or shows. The price are a little high to the more expensive ipod games are what 5 bucks and have more content that most dsiware games I love Nintendo I'm just saying they can learn from their competitors and if they believe in my ideas I know they will be able to accomplish this because they are the best game and system developers why can't they be the best app and downloadable content developer. Give me ideas and support and maybe even email them with me thanks.

Nintendo will NEVER have a system like Apples.

With that said, they don't have to learn from their competitors per say, they could learn a lot from their other arms.
Nintendo of Japan has been doing an amazing job with online content form WiiWare to DSiWAre. It's actually a very odd contrast with how well Japans online is doing compared to EU or NA.

All Nintendo needs to do to keep most people happy is just release more then one God damn title a week!

Yes true with that point I don't see why they can't just translate the Japanese titles for NA or EU.

The title of the thread is so wrong. It's more or less the other way around.

And about your so called ideas. The weekly releases are fine, it's often enough and it makes new releases look more special. Daily releases would be overshooting. Overshooting is something Microsoft or Sony does, but not Nintendo. Also, you can't expect Nintendo to offer you games for free. And $2 really isn't overpriced.

Community made games are mostly crab. There might be a few exceptions, but there's no need to flood the service with fan games. Especially considering all the legal issues. It would be a mess. And why should you want to watch movies on your DS? It would look pretty bad.

Also, how about learning how to punctuate? Really helps to make a point. Literally.

@Tourian yeah sorry bout the punctuation
yeah I'm start to to see that the name was wrong also
But they could learn from their other wings such as Japan

I think Nintendo's release schedule is fine. It's their barriers to entry that are the problem. For example, you must have secure office space to be accepted into the developer program. Yet some of the best Indies are garage developments! (Especially when they're trying to make a profit off of $5 downloads.) If the iPhone has done anything, it's shown that Nintendo is missing out on a number of truly skilled developers.

That being said, there is one thing I would like Nintendo to do about the iPhone. Mine the catalog for games to port. I think Asphalt already demonstrated what a great idea it is to port the games. Games like Spy Bots, Star Hogs, Magic Castle, Blimp, Sentinal, Wild West Pinball, The Deep Pinball, and Battle Shock (just to name a few) would be just as good (possibly better!) on the DSi.

Most WiiWare games have a good value if you compare them to Wii-disc games. I think some people expected high quality DS games with DSiWare just as Wiiware, but I think that won't happen (at least for the first year). If you compare a WiiWare release game such as MLAAK to the ArtStyle and "A little bit of..."-games, MLAAK is much better. I think there will only be a few good games on DSiWare, but that's it. Until now, DSiWare has only been a service for very cheap short games (with a few exceptions). That's also a reason why I hadn't bought a DSi, it has almost no benefits for me (A low-quality camera and a online shop against shorter battery life, flashcard-blocks and no GBA-slot. Maybe there will be good DSiWare games which have a DS-gamecard value, but I think the DSi must become more popular first.

@thewiirocks maybe we should contact the makers of the those ipod games and give them legit reasons to port to dsi

You can email Nintendo all you want but your just goin to get the same email that everone else gets. Basically its a let you know they got your email and arent reading it so here is a PreTyped email we will send you back that looks just like everyone elses. Now you send an email to the Indie Developers and they will Type a Email up for You in regards to what your email is actually about not just lettin you know that Nintendo really cares Its obvious Nintendo is becoming all about the quick cash and periphial entertainment, not their core gamers.

The DSi needs a better storage system before it can handle other things such as movies or applications. Remember the DSi hasn't been out for a year yet, so we can expect nothing but improvements for the handheld.

Wiiware wasn't great when it first came out but it has definitely improved since then. Hopefully the same thing will happen with the DSiware service

Yeah Wiiware is pretty decent now. It would be nice to have virtual console on the dsi though. Wishful thinking eh haha.
