Topic: My idea for a "Little bit Of"/"Express" Game.

Rhythm Heaven Express / A Little Bit of Rhythm Paradise!

I think this would be sweet. What I would include in it my my favorite levels from the original Rhythm Tengoku game on the GBA, but made with the touch controls in the same way that the DS version has. This is what I levels I would put into it...

Vegtable Grooming: Root vegtables with faces will appear on screen with facial hair, idea is that with a pair of twezers you pull out the hairs in rhythm to the indian themed track playing in the background. Play this by tapping on the touch screen, whilst long and curled hairs need to touch and hold on the touch screen.

Samurai Slice: Play as a honorable Samurai who has to thwart of imps who wear Tengu masks. in the GBA game you tap the A button to swing your sword. In my DS remake you flick the stylus. When you progress in the mirco game the screen gets darker as you fight bigger imps.

Marching Squad: You're a Soldier of the Marching Squad as you're givin commands by your sergent. Tap the touch screen to march on the spot. Flick the touch screen to the left to turn left, flick the touch screen to the right to turn right, touch and hold on the touch screen to stand still.

Baseball Practice: Swat balls launched to you in rhythm, thing is you can't rely on the screen too much because the screen will keep on zooming in and out all the time. Flick the screen to swing.

Karate House: Play as a Karate guywho punches things that are thrown at him, tap screen to punch.

Then obviously you get a Remix level after that.

But what do you guys think?

Needs MOAR Glee Club!

Hmm... Glee club wasn't in the GBA game though. The Closest thing to it is the clapping game.

The Samurai Slice and Karate House/Karate Man levels can stay, but my ideal version of this game would have a Built to Scale level, probably Space Soccer, and either a Fan Club or Drummer Duel level. To be honest, Love Lizards is my favorite level in the new Rhythm Heaven, but it's too easy for repetitive playthroughs.

Either way, it sounds like a great idea! I'd buy it in a heartbeat so long as it featured something I liked. :3

Well, there's a Micro game in Rhythm Tengoku that Built to Scale is based on, called "Rhythm Polymar".

thing is it requires the d-pad and A button, I wouldn't know how you would impliment that to the touch screen, especially the fact that there times where you have to press both the d-pad and the a button at the same time.

eh, for a DSiware game, especially if it's a minigame from an existing title, i wouldn't mind so much re: buttons versus stylus. after all, bird and beans is all buttons, and so is aquia.

fair do, but I'd rather play this game with the DS on it's side in a book form, it just really works for me.

if you reeeeeally want it to be all played with the stylus, why they can't just make a Built to Scale 3? that in and of itself would be awesome. : DDD

True, but then again that would be more work for Nintendo though lol

and updating the older games with stylus controls won't?

Well it'll be less work than making a whole new micro game, all you'd need to do it map the A button to the touch screen and change the screen orietation.

This sounds like an ace idea, so it's a big shame that it's not that likely, even though I'm sure it'll get some decent sales.

I'm addicted to rhythm heaven/paradise... and after seeing videos of rhythm tengoku online... I MUST HAVE IT!!!!
Oh, yeah wouldn't that game where the rabbit jumps off the rocks be a good one to include?
