I'm pretty sure you just solved your own conundrum.
More stuff should be free. some dsiware and DS game demos should be on the service and free. if they were to actually to release something free on the dsiware it should be a youtube app or a DSi speak channel or something like that.
No demos. Have you ever done the ones that you download from the wii to your ds. Pokemon Ranger. You capture a pokemon. Demo over.

To be fair, the DSiWare shop had a "Free Category", and the Browser and Flipnote were the only things in there until that DSi Transfer Tool came along.
If you're going to have a free category, might as well put more stuff in it. That's what I think.
Well they wouldn't put lot's of free stuff because they will lose money. Yea there are some not so good dsiware but I have found quite a few gems for a good price. Plus don't compare it to the iphone app store there are like millions of free crap apps on there. That's another reason they won't do free games because then we might end up with a million crappy ones. Also if a lot of dsiware games seem crappy it's because developers couldn't do a lot with the service. Dsiware games memory and all that was pretty bad. So most games could only do so much with their games. Lastly flipnote was free same with the browser on the old dsi because they were meant to be free. They were apart of the whole dsi package. Plus flipnote was actually a free site and service even before dsi.

And Photo Dojo temporarily.
The temporarily thing made me forget all about it.
Well they have given Excitebikes & Pokedex 3D away for free.....and they're giving four swords away for free too eventually. Nintendo Video was technically a freebie too wasn't it?
You could also argue that the 20 free games are actually freebies too. (even though they're more like apology/sweetener gifts)
I figure there's more freebies coming our way then I would have expected....
One thing I think would be neat though, since Nintendo are bringing out paid DLC it would be nice to have a game like "Tiny Tower" where the game is free but you pay extra to make things move quicker.
Well they wouldn't put lot's of free stuff because they will lose money.
Companies can release free games, look at the App Store. A lot of games on there are free to download (supported by advertisements, or just a trial/demo version).

i certainly DONT want commercials on any nintendo download service all those hobo eshop categories are already enough so i prefer no commercial over 10000x free crap games thx !
Do you truly look at things positively? For example, do you look at the glass like it's always full? (Half water, half air.) Or when someone "lets the cat out of the bag," do you think it's because the person felt sorry for the cat stuck in the bag? There is a positive side to almost everythin...
I would actually like to see free, ad-supported games, provided they're done right. Several games on Android do this right, as the ads are only a small bar on the lower screen. Others... Not so much with the constant pop-ups.
Freemium = HELL NO
Also, I'd support episodic gaming with one free episode be that it's shorter.
This is a signature.
Link goes here now.
Screw you.
