Looks like this retro shooter title might be just what the doctor ordered. What do the rest of you think who have downloaded it?

Haven't download it but I saw the trailer, and now I'm very tempted. It doesn't look at retro as they want you to think but I see what they're going for. It's a shmup with a gimmick. It looks cool too. My main worry is that the actual shooting won't be as intense as it can be, because of the flipping gimmick. I think I'll just I ahead and take the risk. Looks solid for only 200 points.

I'm going to wait for a review from NL before DLing, but it looks very promising.

I picked it up but haven't had time to play it, as I'm reviewing Bomb Monkey. But I'm looking forward to this one, and also hope to see some impressions from those who took the plunge!

Wow still nothing? I finally played it a few times and really enjoyed it.

I might buy it once I see the review. It's either this or Metal Torrent.

Seems good for a 200-point shooter, but I still need to get through Velocity on my PSP, which is essentially in the same genre as a shmup with puzzle elements. I too will wait for a review. :3

I'm waiting for a Nintendo Life review, as well, or either a big glowing review from anyone or a bad one. I've wasted too much $$ on $2 games that suck.

Hey people! For anyone not entirely sure if this game is for them, here are some links to reviews other than the one on this site:
http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/review/30975
http://www.wiiloveit.com/games/flip-the-core---dsiware-review
http://nintendocharged.com/2012/07/05/review-flip-the-core-ds...

Everyone can make up their own mind, not gonna say it's a must buy...we realize this game is not for everyone but we do hope that those of you that have downloaded it enjoy it!

I'm probably going to get it because I like shooters, but it might take me a while to get to it. I feel like I can't just download games anymore unless I'm about to play them, because they only give us a few months to do the post-play surveys.

When you say "We", are you informing us that you work for the company that produced this?

He does indeed. I can confirm that. It was disclosed when he signed up for the account so he definitely wasn't attempting anything sneaky...it's just less clear when all you can see is a forum post.

I would love if they would release some of the 8 bit titles for Dsiware.... dang it if they just don't forget us Dsi folks!

I do indeed, and as Philip already said I was not trying to keep that a secret and do some sneaky marketing. I think I was pretty fair in my post and not making it a ZOMG!! GO BUY THIS! shameless self-plug. Of course I do think it's a good game and you should buy it, but you can decide that for yourself It is really interesting for me to see what everybody thinks...a Survival Mode like Undead_Terror said is a good idea, we'll keep that in mind for a sequel if there is to be one.

Oh, don't get me wrong! I wasn't implying you were being sneaky at all, I was just curious.. It's always fun to talk to the developers/creators, etc of games on these forums. Thanks for being so open and available to us! Good luck on your game being a success! I still haven't downloaded it, I'm sure I will once I decide to take the plunge

@MrRudi One thing I have been complaining about in the Nintendo Club Surveys for the games I purchase (especially dsiware or 3dsware) is that there is a complete LACK of unlockable content. You should at least consider having unlockable levels, music, modes, anything... Anything to keep the player coming back and going for anything more than a higher score. I think replayability is lacking on a lot of titles these days, esp downloadable titles. Just FYI!
