Topic: DSiWare Wish List

This is a thread for titles or ideas that you would greatly enjoy seeing on DSiWare.

The idea that sparked this topic was thinking about Legend of Zelda: Four Swords, and how great it would be to have as a downloadable title, and playable over wifi. Back in 2004 when the DS first came out, a Four Swords was announced for the system, but has obviously never seen the light of day. Maybe whatever they have will get pushed into a DSiWare title? One can hope!

What else would be a good addition to DSiWare?

Four Swords with online play would be a system seller for me. I would expect such a game to be a retail release though. None of the current or announced DSiWare games that I've heard about even approach the size of such a game unless they scaled it back, which I would hope they wouldn't.

I would love to see a Four Swords that is at least equally combat-oriented as it is puzzle, but I doubt that'll happen.

Personally, I can think of nothing better than more Art Style and other puzzle games. They suit the format perfectly.

I'd like to see something make use of the camera but not in the Warioware way. Perhaps something simple, like a Zelda 1-esque game with short randomly generated dungeons, but before you start you give the game pictures taken with your camera which the game uses to replace enemy sprites. Sure, they wouldn't animate well, but that would be part of the charm.

Come on, friends,
To the bear arcades again.

A multi player oriented Sonic game would suit the DSIware, they where pretty fun on Sonic 2 and 3, space Harrier might be fun with the stylus, though they would have to give you auto-fire, since using the stylus and buttons at the same time isn't ideal, there may already be a version in the works and I just haven't heard about it yet, but surely Bomberman will make it to DSIware at some point.

They could make the fire button L and/or R. You use one of your hands to hold the stylus, and use a finger of your other hand to hold down L and/or R.

Sorry to double post but.....

My DSi wishlist

Pac-Man V.S. - The 2003 Pac-Man party from the Gamecube. Pac-Man VS was already on DS as part of "Namco Museum DS", but this version will let the orange ghost in and make it 5 players, since Pac-Man was originally chased by 4 ghosts, not 3. It will also have an online mode and a maze DLC. It will be either 500 points or 800 points.

Chu Chu Rocket DSi - Chu Chu Rocket brought to the DSi with touch screen controls and online. It would be BOTH portable AND online. It would cost either 500 points or 800 points.

Advance Wars DSi - A smaller size version of Advance Wars Dual Strike for DSi, except with added online, more custom map storage, and map trading. It would be either 500 points or 800 points.

Space Harrier DSi - Yes, this idea isn't mine, its from a previous post. But I really like the idea. You can either use the old D-pad and buttons, or use the faster stylus control and L/R as shoot. It would be 500 points

Galaga Wars - An idea for a new DS Galaga I had for a while. It would be Galaga equivilant to Pac-Man VS, except it would have a single player arcade adventure as well, that would just be a new Galaga game with the good 'ol formula, but with new enemies and powerups. The multiplayer mode would be one person playing as the ship, and the other 3 people controlling the bugs with the stylus. Whichever player destroys the ship with bugs first gets to be the ship, and the former ship has to control bugs. This goes on until a player reaches a certain score like in Pac-Man VS. I also had this idea to include the classic arcade Galaga as well, but thanks to the VC arcade, that probably would't be included now. It would cost 800 points.

Galaxy 2009 - The boss game "Galaxy 2003" from WarioWare turned into a full game, it lasts forever. After you beat the boss, instead of it ending, it continues on. It would cost 200 points.

Jump Rope - The jump rope mini games from both the original WarioWare and Mega Party games. It has 1P jumprope and 2P-4P jumprope. It would cost 200 points.

Video storage (application) - It would allow you to store your own videos, and make folders to sort them out better. It would cost 200 points.

This posted will be edited when I want to add more.

@Clinker: Nice choices, in particular Pac Man Vs, but sadly the chances of seeing the Advance Wars or Video Storage titles you're hoping for are incredibly slim.

Actually using the L button for firing wouldn't be a bad idea, and since it would be using the stylus that could even free up the D-pad, which could be used to change firing type, and R along with the main buttons could do the same if your left handed, I think Panzer Dragoon would work on DSI, though maybe a full game would be better but still a smaller DSIware version would be good to, the wii would also be a great platform for that series, the control types of both the stylus and wiimote seem well suited to Panzer Dragoon.

Hello, someone want to see a simple RTS game? I think about a tank war game or other.

I don't know the extent of dsi technology, but I'd love to see a sniping game along the lines of that popular flash title on the wiiarcade web site (the name escapes me) where u could move your dsi around or simply use the stylus to attack enemies.

I'd love to see some sort of PDA App for 200, and maybe some sort of port of the newly announced Puyo Puyo 7 (since there's not much of a chance of it heading to the states)

And as of right now, my most wanted DSiWare game is Mighty Flip Champs! Mr.Driller DSi is also something I'm looking forward to.

A Gradius game like Rebirth but different.

One of the main reasons I got a DSi was for the Art Style games, so I really hope that Nintendo brings all of them over here (in this order):
Art Style: Nalaku
Art Style: Hacolife
Art Style: PiCOPiCT
Art Style: Somnium
Art Style: Code [Decode]

I'd also love to see a port of the BS Zelda game to DSiWare or WiiWare and I hope they bring Hudson's Illust Logic here as well (I'm a Picross addict).

I would like to see an extension-like application for a game without online. Like an extension for a game like Lock's Quest to get online play and where you could update your game data or something.
