I upgraded for the screens, camera and DSiWare, and I hoped one day there would be a Gameboy VC.
Now I'm just waiting for better DSiWare games

same here, I regret getting a DSi kind of, but my DSlite's top screen turned blue anyway so, I would have trouble playing games, also the hing thingy broke on my DSlite.
Edit: oh and Moving memo pad (AKA flipnote studio) will be an automatic win, I just hope they add more colors, particularly yellow.
and also I really hope that pop island is good because if not, there may not be any hope for DSiware and me.

I'm sure DSiWare will catch up eventually, lots of games are in development now, and some developers just havn't seen the potential of DSiWare yet. Remember, this is a service that is new-ish and is just starting up.

I won’t dignify this thread with a long response, because 1) gamers are never happy and even if everything was going their way they’d find something else to whine about, and 2) this is clearly a mindless rant thread, so a decent response is just going to be ignored.

With that in mind, follow these quick points.

  • The WiiWare started off similarly slowly and with similarly small variety in games. It’s now expanded to include everything from RPGs to action, strategy and FPSer games. Whether you personally like the games or not is irrelevant, the format is well supported.
  • Puzzle games are cheap and easy to produce, and have a short development cycle. More complex games take longer to come. The DSiWare service is... gasp! New.
  • As the DSiWare grows, it will be better supported. A greater variety of games will be released on it.

But once again, the majority of people in this thread also complain non-stop about the virtual console on the Wii, despite the fact there is a MASS of games already on it, so I should stop wasting keystrokes, since I’m basically banging my head against a brick wall by being logical here.

Edit - as someone who enjoys puzzle games, and owns a decent library of retail release DS games, I am very happy with DSiWare. It offers a brilliant selection of very creative and entertaining puzzle games.

@WaltzElf.... I agree. Even PSN started off slow but is now about all Im playing because of some recent excellent releases and trophy patches being added into older releases that were awesome as well. Its just the BIG reason DSi exsist is for DSiWare. Its almost the main reason some are buying the system. I was perfectly fine with my DS and went to DSi for DSiWare. But now I find I hardly play it at all mainly from frustration at the point that I dropped all the money into it for the service and Nintendo DID release it way to soon in MY Opinion. Yeah it will get better then Ill start playin it more but the fact still remains that DSiWare is Seriously Lacking @ the Moment hence the name of the post.
