If you're familiar with how Club Nintendo surveys generally work (in North America, of course), this will seem VERY strange to you. If you aren't, go sign up already!
So, I'm here to talk about the DSi Web Browser post-play survey. The first thing you might notice about it that seems odd is the question "have you ever played this game on its original console?" or something like that. Weird, huh? As you continue the survey, you reach a point where it asks for your overall satisfaction with the Virtual Console, and you realize that they used the VC survey form for the DSi Web Browser!
Why did this happen, I wonder? A simple mistake is not out of the question, and is in fact most likely as I can find no other answer that makes sense. But the question I have is this: Could this mistake have been made in some way that's related to the possibility of a DSi VC coming up? Sure, it's a stretch of a question, but I'm curious nonetheless.
Has anybody else taken this quiz yet? If you bought a DSi at launch, linked your Club Nintendo account, and downloaded the browser, you SHOULD have a quiz available now. Take it and post what you get. I'd like to make sure that this is a universal oddity (probably is, but I'd rather get confirmation nonetheless). Post your theories as to why this happened, too!

I'm not taking anymore surveys until July when I'll be getting my platinum prize and my status will be reset. I'm pretty sure I already have more than half the points needed for platinum for the next cycle.

Come on, anybody? I don't want this question to fade away into total obscurity and go unanswered...Yes, one other person has posted, but (no offense) it wasn't exactly helpful.

That is odd! I wish I could help... My friend has the survey though.

i've got the survey open in a different tab right now... it looks like they just re-used the same form, is all. i doubt it was intentional... i mean, replace 'Virtual Console' with 'DSiWare' and this weirdness would not exist, lol.
I'm noticing other problems/weirdness with this survey anyway... 'please tell us you age'? repeatedly calling it a 'game' when it's not really a game at all? asking us what made us decide on purchasing the browser when it was, in fact, free? i'm not really inclined to read anything else into the wording of this survey.

I just took the survey, and I also had the weird screw-up with the questions clearly tailored to a VC game. I got my 10 points just the same though
I wouldn't speculate too much based on this mistake, but I'd certainly be happy to think that a VC survey being accidentally attached to a DSi title means something about a DSi VC. It probably means nothing, though.
I also just completed my (very favorable) Aquia survey, and that one had normal questions.

I'm noticing other problems/weirdness with this survey anyway... 'please tell us [en]you[/en] age'? repeatedly calling it a 'game' when it's not really a game at all? asking us what made us decide on [en]purchasing[/en] the browser when it was, in fact, free?
That first one is obviously a mere typo (and one I hadn't noticed). Calling it a game and asking about purchasing obviously go along with the fact that they used the VC form, as those terms would apply there just fine.
It occurs to me that they may not have a survey form for free DSiWare ready yet, so they picked another one and it just happened to be the wrong one. Of course, I was surprised to be given coins for a free download in the first place, but I wouldn't complain about THAT!
So basically, everything I guessed from the start has been confirmed by others, which is all I really wanted in the first place. Thanks!
