I still haven't downloaded this one... I might one day, but I get bored of math games based solely on computation and quick memorization. I'm great at computation, but it's boring! I enjoy math puzzles that actually make you work through something complex, like the best word problems can do. Math has so little to do with merely mechanical computation and related skills; it's about finding a solution to a problem when you only have limited information, by using logic, cleverness, and insight. Or, that's what math should be, but unfortunately kids seem to be taught to just memorize the formulas and techniques without being forced to truly think. No one should be allowed to use a formula unless they can prove or derive it themselves, or at least understand how they might go about proving it!
Best math teacher I had back in high school was hated by some of her students because she always put a couple questions on her test that didn't look like anything we'd solved in homework or in class. But that's the whole point! The only way to prove that you truly understand is to apply your knowledge to a completely novel situation. If you can just memorize the steps to follow for each question type and do that on the test, you're not proving anything but your memory, and you certainly don't deserve an A.
I am opinionated on this matter!

Which DSiWare games have you already reviewed? If you haven't already, review Mighty Flip Champs. It seems to be one of the more controversial titles on the NL forums.

A flippin' blast.......if you can handle the challenge
ROTFLMFO!! I love your teasers!! Go on, review something else!! Though I think Alta's appearance as she descends to her doom is understandable. I bet you were just looking for something else not awesome about the game. Overall, I agree with your score. P.S. You will review Flipnote Studio the literal second it comes out in your region. And that's a promise.

Just wanted to add my 2 cents in here to say I purchased Mighty Flip Champs! three days ago and I've been playing it nonstop ever since! The soundtrack is like haunting me in my sleep, lol... in a good way, and I just love this game! It truly does deserve all the great 9 star reviews, etc. So it gets my thumbs up too!
