I got a Mac mini, and my Wii connects just fine through the airport setting. I was wondering if my new DSi has a broken antenna or something. Anyone else experiencing problems? I hope it's something easy to work out I really want to get this online.

sorry, i've only got experience with PC issues, but apparently you're not the only one who's had problems with DS/DSis and AirPort not getting along. here's an article i was able to find via google; i hope it helps. if not, here's an AirPort thread on Nintendo's Tech Support forums, and here's another thread on the Apple discussions forum regarding a DSi unable to connect through AirPort.

Thank you so much ( theblackdragon )! My DSi battery died right when it was gonna connect LOL. I NEVER would of figured this out if it weren't for your post. This link ( your first one) was the one that worked that worked for me. People must follow the instructions to a T if they are having the same problems ( make sure you make the IP address one digit bigger, and go on to do what else it says). I had to get in the terminal to get these numbers that otherwise weren't' visible to me from just poking around in system preferences. I had to do a manuel setup even though it detected my mac mini network and all. It just wouldn't connect. I'm in the shop and downloaded the internet channel while it's charging. Now I don't know how wifi will be I will take this one step at a time. I'm just glad I got the shop channel.

hopefully in thefuture they will release a firmware update so your dsi can auto connect to any acsess point your near like the mac books do so you dont have to go to settings then go to internet then search for a acsess point then test connection then confirm then back out thats just so anoying. >={

This is ground control to major Tom, you've really made the grade. And the papers want to know whose shirts you wear
Now it's time to leave the capsule if you dare

I struggled to get mine connected at first, but found the Nintendo support site quite useful and soon got it online. Glad you got yours sorted too, Metal Slugger - now revel in the joy that browsing the 'net on the loo can bring!

Thanks Prosody, for the first time I tried the dsi demo downloads on the Wii "nintendo" channel. Quite cool hope they keep adding more.

My problem is that the DSi connects just fine (it connects to the shop and browser and all that) but hooking up to play Wi-Fi games I can't get.

I use Wi-Fi with WPA2 protection at home, which all devices have no problems with (except DS of course), with the new DSi it works partially. Using the web browser I don't have any problems most of the time, however, if I use the Nintendo Shop Channel I hardly can connect to it anytime - I'm using my mobile phone as a router or my MacBook as an Access Point then (used it with my old DS all the time with WEP protection). My router's a Siemens Gigaset SE551 with latest firmware.

Do you mean DS cartridge Wi-Fi games? Because if so, these games only recognise security settings one, two and three, so if you generally use one of the other "advanced" connections, that's why.
