Hmm. I am always more likely to buy a download game when the developer is active with the community (Colors 3D was created by a Homebrew DS guy, for example). I'll get this as soon as my mom lends me her Credit Card

@henroid: Thank you so much for your very candid answers! I may have to pass on this one, though depending on the review it gets by Nintendolife, it might be something I pick up in the future.

Although, if there are any plans for a sequel or something that will have features like multiplayer or even "skirmish" modes, then I will pick it up instantly. As for this release, I'm going to have to wait a bit. I'll let you know what I think once I pick it up!

Yup! That's fair! Depending on the success of Amoebattle, there may be more in the future. At the top of our list is having a skirmish and multiplayer mode, though those prove to be extremely complex features to develop.

Here's a question: Would you recommend the DSiWare version, or the iPad version? I've got the iPad version and it's a nice, simple RTS, so I'm wondering how it plays on the smaller screen.

The differences would mainly be in the controls. Also, due to the ease of implementing Achievements on iOS, we have done that as well. I like the tactile feel of the DSi/3DS, but the iOS versions have a little bit more content if doing Achievements is your thing. Some of them can be quite difficult.

Thanks! I believe that, in the age of the internet, it's so easy to get connected with people that a developer should definitely try to connect with the players. I hope you enjoy the game!

@henroid Really enjoying the game so far, I've only completed the first few missions, but it's really fun! It's been a loooooong time since I bought a DSiWare game, but this has been on my radar for a while now. Nice job henroid and Grab.

Anyone know how to get past the section in the 9th mission where you're supposed to sneak past a group of carnivores by using a probe disraction? I keep using poison and ice probes since the energy probe can't be used at that location, but they don't last long enough for me to sneak past. Anyone know what to do?
