I am searching for a nice rpg or adventure that has live action combat like Secret of mana, Secret of Evermore, Terranigma, Illusion of Gaia. Anyone has a recommendation? I would be very pleased

There is part of the mana series on the DS, but I'm not sure how good it is. I think it's called "Heroes of Gaia". I don't think it got very good ratings. I'm trying to think of other games and the only one that comes to mind right now is the Rune Factory series.. now that is a lot different from the games you mention because it's basically Harvest Moon with dungeons.. but they are fun to explore and the boss fights are good. You don't have a party though. In Rune Factory 4 for 3DS I believe you can hire team-mates or your wife/girlfriend. The Rune Factory games have a cool crafting system too. You get ore and supplies from the dungeons. Rune Factory series is one of the best DS/3DS franchises IMO. Great series.

Yeah I am into that. Ordered the first Rune Factory. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
Hope I will find a game that is so much fun like in the snes era some of the rpgs were.

I know it's not DS, but Legend of Mana for the PS is amazing. It's better than the original, IMO, albeit easier, but it's just beautiful. The art style is damn near my favorite in any game I've seen.

It's really unique and you can play through it differently each time. You can choose your gender/class at the beginning, there's around 10 classes I think. You get a pet barn and can tame wild animals, raise them. You can build golems later in the game. Both the animals and golems can join your team. You get this weird tree where you can grow certain fruits from seeds you feed it (if I remember right).. Yeah. Keep in mind, there's isn't a ton of depth in these activities, but it's still awesome. It's one of my top 3 PS games. Now I really want to play it again.. unfortunately I don't have the game or any means of doing that right now. -_-

Oh.. and the music. I'm not one to rave over video game music, but this game has a great soundtrack. This was squaresoft in it's prime.

Sounds interesting. Hope they did a better job than in sword of mana for gba. That game was so linear and repetetive.
