I got my DS for my birthday in 2006 along with the game Super Mario 64 DS. I asked specifically for that game because the original is one of my favorite games of all time and because a friend of mine had that game, and it looked awesome.

Super Mario 64 was my first DS game. Otherwise, the first game I popped in the console was Golden Sun 2.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

Mine was Mario 64, which I was never able to finish because of the awful controls.
I'm really hoping these games will be forwards compatible with the 3DS analogue nub.

Man it was a while ago. I think it was Mega Battle Network 5 Double Team DS, but I got that and Mario Luigi Partners in Time and Mario Kart DS (Christmas rules) so I honestly forget now.

Ehe same here. AW DS was my first DS game as well (though technically New Super Mario Bros. was my first game, since it was packaged with my DS at Costco), and was probably the primary reason for buying a DS in the first place. I loved how they introduced new COs and units and even new modes. I remember I've logged in well over 120 hours on that game and its map editor. Good times. :)
