I think that Sonic 4 should be on DSiWare. It Doesn't have to look like the 360 version but couldn't it still be on DSiWare? The DSi can do 3D graphics so it isn't really a matter of the graphics not being good enough. i think there should be a DSi version. what do you guys think?

I donno, due to the 20mb limit they would have to make like 5 parts to episode 1
if the 3ds has around 60 or maybe 80 mb per downloadable game it would likely happen

I think it should work, yeah. After all, they're bringing it to iPhone too so I'm sure if need be, they could make some minor adjustments.

I. Want. Sonic. 4!

I love rpgs and platformers the most... racing games are good too!
I have a black dsi and a blue 3DS. :D

It Would have been Better if it Wasn't an Downloadable Game.
Nintendo came out with NSMB Wii, Why Can Sega just do the Same.

For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday.

Nintendo did come out with NSMB Wii as a non downloadable game but wasn't it expensive as hell? being on Xbox LIVE and such would make Sonic 4 about 20 bucks worth of points. maybe cheaper.

I agree, if they can release it on the iphone, why not the dsi.

Definitely, it would work perfectly, if not great. especially on the DSi XL.

The difference between the Iphone and DSiWare is that there is no size limit on app size.
DSiWare games so far haven't been over 20MB, so that leads us to believe the size limit on DSiWare games is 20MB. With a storage capacity of 100+MB (Almost half of the 256MB of space is taken up by the OS, Photo app, Sound app, other crap)

The app store however has no such limit. Games like GTA Chinatown wars are over 1GB fully installed on a phone/touch. Heck, I'm honestly surprised that it's going to WiiWare to be honest.

Can they do it? Yes they can, but I doubt the effort of having to resize the resolution and doing special compression for DSiWare is worth it to them.

no, dsiware can be anything less than the total system memory of 30mb or bigger when they release the sd menu update!

Well, considering the developer of Sonic 4 is Dimps, who has made the other DS Sonic titles, I could see it working. I don't see the 20MB data limit being a problem, doesn't the Wii have a limit of 40 MB for their downloadable titles? I suppose worst case scenario they may have to cut some music tracks or even split each episode in half to make it all, but I don't see it as a deal-breaker.

Exactly.

Yes but it still won't matter because I will be getting this for either ps3 or wii (probably ps3 because the controls will probaly be much better) I would definately would not like the homing attack to be used by shaking the wii remote and I just wish there was no homing attack at all it just feels a bit casual.
