How old are you? Like seriously; You're acting like EmulationZones. But you wouldn't know who that is, because you're new here. At least you arent a pretender/liar he was.

It's difficult to compare a portable game to a console game. If it's the same generation, of course the console game has more content (which I think is what it seems like you have been arguing). There's going to always be a bit less in the portable version, but hopefully it's still fun (especially since I paid $30 for the game!)

I am way too lazy to think of something clever.

Zelda works better in 2D/top down than behind the back 3D. Combat works better, the 3D games suffer from too obvious item usages where you just look for grapple points and such and use the matching item without worrying about what might happen because using that item is ALWAYS the right action.

You guys realize that this game has a 90 on metacritic? This was a really highly praised game. I don't see why you guys don't like it. Oh right, because you don't like fun.

Seriously no site is going to make me prasie it wind waker was more praised, I want you to see this one site.http://www.gamespot.com/gamecube/adventure/legendofzeldathewindwaker/review.html , it got 95 burn by critics. NO one here exepet people who dont have it like it.

And you're wrong. Gamespot gave Wind Waker a 93, and PH a 90. Not sure what your point is, buddy. Yeah, Wind Waker is a higher praised game, and it's a better game by a long shot. But that doesn't mean that Phantom Hourglass isn't a great game. It IS a great game--just not as great as Wind Waker.

Now that I think of it, the title of this thread is misleading. There is not "Toon Link" franchise, it's a spin-off of more traditional Zelda titles.

The reason I think Phantom Hourglass has lower on Metric is that the inital novelty factor had worn off by the second game.

I didn't even know there was a Toon Link franchise. And I thought Phantom Hourglass was great.

I liked the sailing. Plus when you get the warps it's much faster.

I guess you have not played it to, you can also warp on wind waker. Spirit tracks looks better than ph though, but that is not in the series of wind waker.

Yes I have played Wind Waker. I was talking about Phantom Hourglass there. I think I know there are warps in Wind Waker, I've beaten it completely.

And Spirit Tracks is in the same series as Wind Waker. They are both Zelda games.

I don't know why you are calling it a "toon link franchise". They all belond to "The Legend of Zelda" franchise, they just happen to have different art styles from the other Zelda games.

Kid_A

Seriously. You don't call Ocarina and Majora parts of the "Ocarina of Time" franchise just because they have the same graphical styles. Wind Waker and PH (and Spirit Tracks) all have a different visual style because they fit the game better. Spirit Tracks wouldn't be as charming without the cell-shaded look.
But the point is they're not part of a different franchise because they have a different graphical style. They're all Zelda games.

Couldn't get into PH...then again...I couldn't get into WW...heck...the only Zelda I've truly enjoyed was the first one.
