So I know emulation is a touchy topic on here, but I have a big question. If I want to get an R4 Card for my DSIXL to play gba, snes, And other retro games on, which one should I get? There are many different versions and any help would be greatly appreciated.
@Voldemort807 If you ask me, you shouldn't get an R4 at all. From what I've understood, there are still some issues with them, and personally, I've always stuck with the M3 cards. I've used them ever since my first DS Phat and in my DS Lite, and in my DSi XL, I'm using an M3i Zero, which has very good compatibility, and is extremely user friendly.
I am okay with this because Nintendo is not receiving any money if I bought the games anyway. If I was emulating Switch games, that would be a problem. GBA games? I think not
@Voldemort807 You're welcome. I always recommend these cards. Never had one fail on me and never had any problems with them whatsoever, across three models of DS/DSi, and they are VERY easy to use because they come with a cable to connect to the PC, which also allows you to easily update the firmware.
And it is a great card for emulators as well, such as all 8 and 16 bit systems, Neo Geo and even GBA games.
The address I gave you, also contains more than enough info and tutorials on how to use them, but you can also find enough on YouTube.
