My favorite DS RPG is Mario & Luigi Partners in Time.

I rule when it comes to games. So deal with it.

TWEWY if it counts. But for traditional RPGs DQIV:Chapters of the Chosen (although I presume it won't be hard to outdue, DQV will probably beat it but I haven't played it for more than an hour)

Digiki

Oops I forgot Chrono Trigger, so I guess I'll call it a tie, for now. (between it and DQIV, of course TWEWY is superior)

I believe it does.

Chrono Trigger!

Agreed.

In terms of original games on the DS, I can't think of any better than TWEWY. But if all games are included... Chrono Trigger would have to wear the crown.

TWEWY was also very good.

Come on, friends,

Pokemon Platinum.

Sure Chrono Trigger and TWEWY are great but leveling up my little fire monkey never gets old.

Outrunner

Final Fantasy 4 DS. Excellent graphics, storyline, music, battle system, it has it all.

I have to say that, while i haven't been through that many DS RPG's, i loved Revenant Wings most over those i have played. Note that i haven't played Chrono Trigger, TWEWY or FFIV yet.

How on Earth could I choose just one? Well, I guess I'd have to agree that TWEWY does win out for original RPG's. Both Etrian Odyssey titles get honorable mentions. I'm also quite fond of Chrono and FFIV.

My Backloggery Updated sporadically. Got my important online ID's on there, anyway. :P

The only RPG's that I've played are Final Fantasy 3 and 4, Pokemon Diamond, and Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time. I've spent most of my time playing Pokemon Diamond but I think I enjoyed Final Fantasy 3 the most.

Revenant Wings was very good - that last battle was one I will definitely remember.

1. Chrono Trigger
2. Dragon Quest V
3. Final Fantasy IV

Plain old gamer :)

I would say Chrono Trigger but since that is more or less just a SNES port I have to give that honor to Dragonquest V. Dragonquest IV is no slouch either and yes I am aware that those two games are remakes but they were remade exclusively for the DS! As for original DS RPGs both Etrian Odyssey games also take top honors from me! I can't wait to play Dark Spire for DS this week! It looks very similar to Etrian Odyssey! There are more RPGs coming out for DS than you can shake a stick at this year. Steal Princess which is from the people who made Landstalker, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor, and of course Dragonquest IX just to name a few! Fans of Chrono Trigger may want to check out a new game called Black Sigil also on the DS; it looks very promising! Has anyone played Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume for DS yet? This is one I may get next but have yet to play it.

Yes.

If you're a strategy RPG fan, you should definitely pick it up. There are multiple story paths and endings, so it'll keep you pretty busy.

Final Fantasy Tactics A2

It's insane on how much there is to do in this game. The story is pretty much lame, but the sheer amount of fun in commanding a clan makes up for it. Besides, I find it kind of funny that quest's "mini-stories" are more entertaining than the main story.

Another nice contender is Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time.
The story may have not been as great as Ring of Fates (which I loved), but it still had that charm of the series, and it's probably the best co-op experience on the DS as of date. (Online or not.)

I think it's TWEWY, but Suikoden Tierkreis, FFCC RoF and FFCC: EoT are pretty cool too.
