DS Phat:Because it was a Nintendo handheld. DS Lite:I had a bad history with the DS Phat (broken hinge mainly) so I bought a DS Lite. DSi:Because it was lighter, has higher sound quality unlike the DS Lite, and DSiWare. The DSi is the best out of the three, no contest.
